In today’s era of high school football, speed is everything. Games are still won on the line of scrimmage, but speed and the ability to make explosive plays on offense is what separates the good teams from the great ones. Every team needs a fast, playmaking receiver in today’s pass-happy era of high school ball, and we’re seeing multiple track stars change the game on the gridiron due to their elite burst and overall speed.

Here are some of the fastest wide receivers in the Georgia to know for the 2021 season...

 

Zion Ragins: Jones County

Don’t let his age foot you, Ragins might be the fastest player in the entire state. The 2024 speed demon out of Jones County (GA) proved as a freshman last year that he has game-changing speed as he caught 38 passes for 584 yards and 4 touchdowns. He was a massive deep-ball threat for the Greyhounds and has since earned an off from the in-state Georgia Bulldogs. Ragins’ speed was on display recent as he clocked in a 10.37 in the 100m at the 35th Annual Richard Fendley back on March 25th. Ragins also ran a 4.35 in a recent 40-yard dash
