Today we look at talent rich Tampa Florida 6A District 9. There are a lot of young talented prospects and several sleeper prospects that could start getting looks for the next level. Prep Redzone Florida will always promote everybody in hopes of them getting the opportunity of playing college football at the next level. Big time players are spotlighted below!
Carson Burbee- Clearwater Countryside
6’3 245lbs
Burbee has a nice powerful frame and is a really good tight end prospect. Burbee is a really good in-line run blocker and the 1st play on film shows him flat back a defender, he’s a good athlete that shows soft hands and is a crafty route runner with a big catch radius, breaks tackles and shows yard after the catch ability. He also plays defensive end and could be considered a pretty good prospect on that side of the ball as well. I think tight end is where he’ll play at the best level. He finished the season with 26 catches for 312 yd and 2 touchdowns.

Terrance Jackson- Clearwater Countryside c/o 23
6’0 160lbs
Jackson is a player that was used in a variety of different ways for Countryside, he’s good with the ball in his hands on reverses, shows long speed and playmaking ability, as a receiver he’s a good vertical threat that gets behind defensive backs and can track the ball in the air. Jackson had a nice sophomore season with 14 catches for 241 yards and five total touchdowns, he also added 278 yards on the ground and averaged over 10 yards per carry.

Octavius Day Jr.- Freedom High
5’6 160lbs
Day is a two-way player for Freedom High that will most likely move down to the slot at the next level, Day has big play ability averaging over 26 yards per reception, he had six catches for 156 yards and three touchdowns last season. His speed is very apparent, he eats up ground on defensive backs very quickly and shows the ability to run past them, he has quickness and balance and shows the ability to break tackles despite his size.

Julius Quinones- River Ridge c/o 23
5’10 160lbs
Quinones is a heck of an athlete for River Ridge, he excels on both sides of the ball, he’s one of the best defensive backs in the county and had four interceptions last season. He’s also a pretty talented receiver and had 12 catches for 178 yards and two touchdowns. As a receiver he shows the ability to come out of his stance and use his hands to get off press, he has quickness to create space and does a good job catching the ball in traffic. He’ll be one of the better Playmakers in Pasco County this season on both sides of the ball.

Nolan Dumagan- River Ridge
6’1 171lbs
Dumagan is another two way player for River Ridge, most of his film is as a defensive back, but he does have good size/length and shows some athleticism and receiving ability as a receiver, he had eight catches for 104 yards and one touchdown last season. He’s a nice sleeper Prospect to keep an eye on this year.
