QB: Griffin Throneberry, 6’2, 190, Mount Juliet, TN, 2023
This is a freaky athlete who is the definition of twitched up. I pulled up his Twitter, and there he is, throwing down a 360 dunk like it’s nothing. When you turn on Griffin’s tape, you’ll see a guy who excels on called quarterback runs. He’s patient between the tackles and can run through arm tackles. He’s also got a knack for finding pay-dirt in the redzone. He’s shown great touch on the go ball and will square his shoulders towards his target when on the move. He missed his sophomore season due to injury, so look for him to come back with a vengeance as a junior.
WR: Tyler King Tyler King 5'10" | 160 lbs | WR Alief Taylor | 2022 State TX , 5’10, 165, Alief Taylor, TX, 2022
I think King very well could be the fastest football recruit in the country. He’s blazed both a 10.21 100 meters and a 20.74 200 meters. This is an explosive wide receiver with elite acceleration. You better tackle this guy immediately because if he slips one guy, watch out. King has exceptional patience to go along with brilliant change of direction. He’s shown steady hands on all three levels and can create a spark as a return man on top of it. He only played in five games last season, so with a full slate under his belt this fall, look for him to be downright dynamic.
QB: Richie Munoz Richie Munoz 6'0" | 195 lbs | QB Charter Oak | 2023 State CA , 6’, 195, La Salle, CA, 2023
In only five games this spring, Munoz accounted for 1,577 yards and 21 touchdowns. The first thing I noticed about him was the zip behind his ball. Man, can this guy rifle the ball into tight windows. He’s a solid anticipatory thrower who knows how to throw his targets open. He’s tough as they come and is willing to sit in the pocket and take a shot if it means hitting his wideout downfield. His release is there, too, as he shows no loop in his motion and can expedite his release at any moment. He is fun to watch when he gets outside the pocket and is forced into throwing off-platform.
Sam Driggers Sam Driggers 6'0" | 200 lbs | QB Peabody | 2023 State TN , 6’, 190, Peabody, TN, 2023
He may not be the tallest quarterback around, but man, can he sling it. Driggers can place the ball over linebackers and make free rushers miss almost effortlessly. He has the arm strength to challenge deep safeties and is willing to work his progression if his primary read isn’t there. He’s fantastic off boots and can make almost any throw while on the move. When he climbs the pocket, he will consistently keep his eyes up, looking for a target. He does a good job driving his lower half to ensure he can get velocity behind his throws.
