There is great depth at the position in the Hoosier state this year. With a huge season coming up for these student-athletes, let us take a look at the final three wide receivers who currently occupy a spot in our Class of 2022 state rankings. All three of these prospects have the ability to have great careers at the next level.

Donell Mason Donell Mason 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR Ben Davis | 2022 State IN is a playmaker at receiver for Ben Davis. Mason is extremely effective lined up in the slot. Mason has great speed and a very smooth route-running ability. He can easily find the soft spots in the defense and he finds ways to get open. After the catch is made by another receiver, Mason instinctively blocks to help turn the completion into a big play. That type of selflessness will always make a big difference in the game. Jordan Jackson Jordan Jackson 6'3" | 170 lbs | WR Lawrence North | 2022 State IN , 6’2, 170 pounds, Lawrence North
Jordan Jackson Jordan Jackson 6'3" | 170 lbs | WR Lawrence North | 2022 State IN is a very strong receiver for Lawrence North. Jackson also shows tremendous route-running ability. After the catch, Jackson shows explosiveness and the ability to create big plays. Jackson can pick up yardage after he makes the catch. He further underlines his strength by being able to consistently break tackles. Jackson will keep working throughout the duration of the play. Jackson is also the type of receiver who can take the top off of the defense by stretching it vertically. Further making Jackson difficult to guard is the fact that he can bring in contested catches. Jackson can also block for his teammates, showing a level of unselfishness that is extremely important. Jordan Jackson Jordan Jackson 6'3" | 170 lbs | WR Lawrence North | 2022 State IN checks all of the boxes and he is set for a breakout season this fall.

Rory Heltsley Rory Heltsley 6'3" | 195 lbs | WR Gibson Southern | 2022 State IN is a prospect who is set for a big season this year for Gibson Southern. Heltsley consistently gets separation from the defensive player covering him. Heltsley can make contested catches. He can also stretch the field vertically. Heltsley is extremely difficult for any cornerback to cover him and he will often require attention from the safety as well. Heltsley does not just run deep routes well, he excels running the full route tree as he also runs the underneath and intermediate routes very well. Heltsley also shows his playmaking ability after the catch. He can make defenders miss and create electrifying plays. Rory Heltsley Rory Heltsley 6'3" | 195 lbs | WR Gibson Southern | 2022 State IN shows plenty of promise going into his Senior season for Gibson Southern.
The group of receivers in Indiana’s Class of 2022 is incredible. These three have the potential to push their way up the rankings by the end of the season. Throughout the summer, we will further evaluate the wide receiver position in the state and we will take a look at some of the under-the-radar prospects. These three are set to put plenty of points on the board this season. Defenses in the Hoosier state are going to need to be on high-alert at all times against this group.
