This overall record came with an undefeated record in their region, with the only loss of their season having come from their playoff match up against Warner Robins. In this game, they found themselves on the losing end of a score that read 35-28. Despite this loss, due to the overwhelmingly large amount of talent on the team, the future for the Titans in 2021 looks very bright. At this point of time, the Titans have plenty of young stars that are becoming some of the best prospects in the nation. Below, you can take a look at a few of these players, and you’ll be able to see why we think this is the case.
Deldrick Franklin- LB / RB
Coming off of his sophomore year, Franklin has given Titans fans a ton to be excited about. He is a wide bodied, and built LB prospect with great lower body build, who also has great short area quickness and speed. This allows him to make plays in pursuit, as well as in zone coverage when he plays the passing game. Franklin does a good job of using his hands, feet, and lower body strength to his advantage, and he also does a good job of dominating defenders when he finishes his tackles. While he can be a bit stiff at times, and his footwork may be a bit raw, the way he is able to sniff out the run is very good for his age. If he can continue to add on to this, and his instinctive style of football, we have no doubt that he will continue to be a great player for the Titans in the years to come.
JC French- QB
JC French, who just completed his Junior season, will be returning for his senior year in 2021. French has decent vision of the field, and a decently strong arm to push the ball. He hits on a large majority of his deep passes, and can even do so on the run when outside of the pocket. When throwing from outside of the pocket, he needs to do a better job of throwing with squared shoulders, and cleaner mechanics. Regardless of if he is in the pocket or on the move, French proves to be able to have decent ball placement for his receivers. His footwork is a bit raw at times as well, and the way he gets the ball out is unpolished, but there is plenty of talent that he possesses. If he can manage to clean up his mechanics, and improve his presence in the pocket, he can certainly be a special prospect. This is already evident due to the offers that he has to this point of time.
Big Skye- OL
Standing at 6’5, 280 pounds, Sky was only a Sophomore in 2021. Due to this, his best years of playing football are still ahead of him. Even though he can be seen to be a bit slow off of the ball at times, the way he rolls his hips, and uses his strength to finish blocks helps him to be able to make key blocks for his team. These very blocks have been a big factor in the team’s running, and passing game alike. While his footwork and flexibility in his hips is a bit raw, and he can move heavy at times too, we do like the wide stance that he has, and how he can wall off defenders with his length and frame. Going into the 2021 season, we would like to see Sky continue to use his frame and length to his advantage, while also working on the areas in which we discussed below.
Justice Haynes Justice Haynes 5'10" | 205 lbs | RB Buford | 2023 State GA – CB /RB
Not only does Haynes hold some of the most valuable, and highly touted Power 5 offers in the country, but he is already revered as a 4 star 2023 prospect. While he plays both CB and RB, most programs are projecting him as a RB. This is evident in the way he runs smoothly through contact, and by the way he slashes through the line. Haynes has incredible vision, and the ability to change direction on the dime. This is largely due to his footwork, and the fluidity in which he moves with that allows him to transfer his weight cleanly when moving in and out of his breaks and steps. Haynes also has a great twitch, and burst to his movement skills that set him apart from most. When paired with the pad level that he runs at, as well as the strength and power that he displays in his lower body at times, he can certainly be seen as a can’t miss prospect.
