1. Caleb Burton Caleb Burton 6'0" | 165 lbs | WR Del Valle | 2022 State TX – Lake Travis High School (Austin, TX)
The top wide receiver in Central Texas used to play for Del Valle before transferring to Lake Travis. The Ohio State commit did do a lot during his time with Del Valle, however, including earning first-team all-district honors as a sophomore and second-team all-district honors as a freshman. Burton did suffer a knee injury which ended his junior season with Del Valle. However, that has not stopped him from earning high praise and offers from the top schools in the country including Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, LSU and Oklahoma. Although, he made his decision to commit to Ohio State back in November and will enter his senior season looking to earn a high spot on the depth chart when he begins his time in college. In his sophomore season, he had 51 receptions for 882 yards and 12 touchdowns, according to 247 Sports. There are very few sophomores with such numbers and despite the injury, gives a nice preview for Burton’s senior season.
2. Jai Lambert Jai Lambert 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR Hutto | 2022 State TX – Hutto High School (Hutto, TX)
Lambert is also among the top in Prep Redzone TX’s Class of 2022 rankings. Last season, according to 247 Sports, he had 32 receptions for 478 yards and five touchdowns. Although he has no offers yet that have been reported, Lambert will more than likely receive some as his senior season gets started. Judging by his tape, Lambert excels in two of the most important categories for a receiver, route-running and agility. This puts him in the perfect position to catch the ball and create some big plays. He will be one to watch with the more experience he has gained.
3. Andre Jones Andre Jones 6'3" | 170 lbs | WR Judson | 2022 State TX – Judson High School (Converse, TX)
A growing name in the San Antonio area, Jones finished his junior season with 10 receptions for 110 yards and a touchdown in five games. His biggest performance came against Wagner when he had two receptions for 81 yards and a touchdown. Looking at his tape, Jones works well a slot receiver and is able to make short pass plays into big gains or even a score. He has got speed and when it comes to screens, the ball carrier vision to find a lane and sprint past all the defenders. Considering he is now a senior, he will likely get more reps either still in the slot or in the 1 or 2 spot. Whatever the case, he will likely see the ball more which could set him up to show off his abilities.
4. Jaxon Rush Jaxon Rush 6'1" | 175 lbs | WR Austin High | 2022 State TX – Austin High School (Austin, TX)
Although he hasn’t received an offer yet, Rush has received interest from a few top schools including Georgia and LSU. Much like Jones, Rush has the same ability to make a short catch into a long gain, and he has also has the height to make contested catches which makes it increasingly difficult to cover him. Rush, now with more experience, will be a receiver for Austin that the team will look to for those corner endzone passes or right at the goal line. Regardless, Rush is in a nice spot to see a lot of scores his senior season.
