In the meantime, we will spend the next several weeks doing research on prospects. This isn’t an exact science. COVID-19 shortened the season of a lot of high school football prospects in Maryland.. Some players didn’t even get to play during their junior season. Therefore, some players did not have enough film to make this initial list. Prep Redzone Maryland is always open to hear from coaches. Price has offers from Central Michigan, Howard, UMass, and Penn.
No. 11 Amar Thomas Amar Thomas 6'1" | 215 lbs | DL Wise | 2022 State MD /6-1/225/DE/Wise
Thomas has offers from East Carolina, Maryland, and Old Dominion.
No. 10 Joshua Hardy Joshua Hardy 6'4" | 220 lbs | DL Annapolis Area | 2022 State MD /6-5/230/DE/Annapolis
Hardy has offers from Bowling Green, Buffalo, Fordham, Howard, Navy, Old Dominion, and Toledo.
No. 9 Mekhi Farmer/6-5/309/DT/Rock Creek Christian

Smith is one of top linemen from the District of Columbia. His offer list includes Arizona State, East Carolina, FIU, Kentucky, and UMass.
No. 5 Kwan Williams Kwan Williams 6'1" | 285 lbs | DL McDonogh | 2022 State MD /6-1/275/DT/McDonogh
Williams committed to Boston College on Mar. 10, 2021. At the time of his commitment to BC, his offer list included Penn State, Pittsburgh, Maryland, Florida, Duke, and Syracuse.
No. 4 Nasir Pearce Nasir Pearce 6'5" | 310 lbs | DL St. Frances | 2022 State MD /6-3/275/DT/St. Frances
Pearce is one of the top interior defensive linemen in the state and among the best in the nation. His offer list includes Arizona State. Boston College, Colorado, Georgia, LSU, Maryland, and Michigan.

Dennis-Sutton is right on the heels of No. 1 DL Derrick Moore Derrick Moore 6'4" | 245 lbs | DL St. Frances | 2022 State MD . Dennis-Sutton’s list of offers includes Alabama, Georgia, Penn State, Duke, and Florida.

Not only is Moore the top defensive lineman in Maryland, he is one of the top prospects in the nation. His 20-plus offers include Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Alabama, and Arizona State.
Most high schools did not play during the 2020-2021 season (fall and spring). Unfortunately, there are a lot of kids who could not get enough varsity film to crack the list. Prep Redzone will continue to do more research and look for more athletes to add to the rankings when we update them in September.
