This series will have multiple articles bringing attention to names to put on your radar from Michigan in the class of ’24. As we head into the 2021 season, these prospects will be having a more prominent role on their teams, and some of these players will become national recruits after the 2021 season because they are that special.
Isaiah Marshall Isaiah Marshall 6'0" | 210 lbs | QB Southfield A&T | 2024 State MI , Southfield A&T (QB, 6’0, 200), hudl, Twitter
A Quarterback who will surely make a name for himself this upcoming camp season is Isaiah Marshall Isaiah Marshall 6'0" | 210 lbs | QB Southfield A&T | 2024 State MI . Already holding 8 offers including Michigan, Ole Miss, and Maryland, Marshall is undoubtedly one of the top QBs in the nation for the class of 2024. He has a strong arm, a good ability to throw on the run, and is able to accurately make throws in all phases of the passing game. In the pocket, he shows that he is patient and comfortable and is not afraid to take a hit. In my previous article, I highlighted CJ Carr and it will be interesting who Michigan prioritizes as both Carr and Marshall have early offers from Michigan.
Shamar Heard, Chippewa Valley (RB, 5’8, 145), hudl
One of the fastest recruits in all of Michigan is Shamar Heard. A track star, Heard recently ran a 10.64 100 meter dash and a 21.81 200 meter dash back in April. When it comes to football, that type of speed is what you first notice on his film. Although not the most technically sound RB, he makes good cuts and has solid vision out of the backfield. If he can become a more developed RB in his sophomore year and be a key contributor on the varsity team, offers will most definitely come his way.
Brandon Davis-Swain Brandon Davis-Swain 6'4" | 230 lbs | DL West Bloomfield | 2024 State MI , West Bloomfield (WR/DE/LB, 6’4, 230), hudl, Twitter
At 6’4 and 240, Brandon Davis-Swain Brandon Davis-Swain 6'4" | 230 lbs | DL West Bloomfield | 2024 State MI already has a great frame as a pass rusher for someone who is only 15 years old. On film, Swain has all of the tools to become an elite pass rusher and colleges are starting to notice his potential with 5 offers (most recently from Penn State). A tough tackler and a player that is all over the field on both sides of the ball, Swain is a freak athlete who will turn heads this camp season.
Magnuson Lars Lott, University of Detroit Jesuit (DE/DT, 6’, 215), hudl, Twitter
A Dline prosepct who I am excited to see this upcoming 2021 season is Magnuson Lars Lott. Magnuson had a fantastic freshman season. Now that he has added to his frame (and will continue to this summer), Lott will be a key contributor to the UDJ defense for the 2021 season. Recording a 4.88 40 yard dash, he is an athletic prospect that shows good lower body strength and ability to get into the backfield through his quick and explosive get off. Once he becomes more consistent in getting past offensive lineman and is able to develop into being a stronger tackler, Lott should receive plenty of college interest.
Caleb Williams, Canton (WR/CB, 6’, 170) hudl, Twitter
A three sport athlete, Caleb Williams is a prospect who can play either WR or CB at the next level. Offensively, he runs crisp and clean routes with a solid ability to change directions. Williams does a nice job of tackling in the open field and has nice technique in coverage at the cornerback position. Currently, he holds one offer from Tennessee but more offers will surely come his way in the near future.
