Mike Sharpe Mike Sharpe 5'10" | 190 lbs | RB Pinson Valley | 2022 State AL | Pinson Valley
Group of 5 offers and interest are coming in for the Pinson Valley back and it is well deserved. Sharpe is an interesting back in that he loves to keep momentum north and south but does it with shiftiness and athleticism. Good vision and patience are key weapons in his arsenal. Sharpe seems to have a good understanding of his offensive scheme and allows things to setup in front of him. Good not great straight line speed with a slipperiness in traffic. Improvement in body control will help raise the overall quality of his game. Sharpe should produce as a pass catcher out of the backfield successfully in addition to his production as a ball carrier.
Jaylen Sulton Jaylen Sulton 5'8" | 180 lbs | RB Saint Pauls Episcopal | 2022 State AL | St. Paul’s Episcopal
The Mobile area recruit is receiving D1 attention, as he lists offers from Florida State, Tennessee and Kansas already. Sulton is a true all-purpose back with production as a ball carrier, pass catcher and in the special teams phase. Sulton should be defined as a home run threat every time he touches the ball. With just the slightest bit of green grass he is capable of hitting the accelerator and pulling away. Dynamic athleticism is ever-apparent. Two questions are present: 1) Will he be durable at his size? 2) What will the increased competition level do to his game at the D1 level? The college game will be a bit of a learning curve, but Sulton looks ready to take it on. Athletic traits that can’t be taught are seen.
Ahmari Bolden Ahmari Bolden 6'0" | 195 lbs | RB Thompson | 2022 State AL | Thompson
Bolden appears to be the next in line at the talent rich Thompson High School. From a physical appearance standpoint, the RB prospect looks ready to step on to the field and compete already. Thick and strong build with weight well dispensed but doesn’t hinder athleticism. Bolden craves contact and is at his best when working thru that. Not necessarily a “power back” at this time but has potential to grow into that. Good vision accompanied by a strong burst of speed into the hole or around the edge. The more snaps Bolden gets the better he will be. Just needs some experience. Considering his intangibles and the program he is in, I’m surprised his recruitment isn’t busier at this time.
Jaylen Taylor Jaylen Taylor 5'11" | 215 lbs | RB Hoover | 2022 State AL | Hoover
Taylor is without a doubt the biggest and strongest RB we’ve got listed today. At 5″10 220+ lbs, Taylor went for nearly 1,000 yards and 12 TD’s in a crowded Hoover backfield last season. A bit of a niche style back, Taylor is going to find lots of success moving forward in short yardage and goal-line situations. Taylor is your freight train rolling down hill type of guy, but he does so with impressive speed for his size as a short step runner. With agility training and a college offseason program, Taylor could become more well-rounded as a back. Good vision and strength are more weapons he has added to his belt. For offenses looking for a power style back or possibly even wishbone type talent, Taylor could be your guy.
Jalyn Daniels Jalyn Daniels 5'10" | 170 lbs | RB Tallassee | 2022 State AL | Tallassee
You never know where you are going to see Daniels line up on the field for Tallassee. The upcoming senior scored 18 TD’s on the offensive side of the ball last year lining up at QB, RB and WR, as well as spending time on defense. Loose and smooth athleticism is present throughout the athletic frame of Daniels. Production was present every where he lined up, but for now due to physical traits he projects best at RB. Speed is his number one weapon to go along with “make you miss” agility. Daniels will be a bit of a project due to his wide array of experiences offensively, but once he hones in on a position he will produce. Daniels has Group of 5 potential for sure.
