His first season they went 1-9, but since then they have made it to the playoffs the last 4 seasons. They went 7-1 last season losing to Central York in the second round of the playoffs. We take a quick look at their 2021 roster.
QB: Sam Stoner Sam Stoner 6'0" | 185 lbs | QB William Penn (York) | 2023 State PA 6’0 175; 2023
Sam is a tad undersized. He has a high, tight quick release with some zip. He also shows to have a pretty good arm. In his sophomore campaign with only 6 games, he threw for 1,290 yards and 17 touchdowns with only 2 interceptions. Believe Sam is an FCS QB right now but could be an FBS QB as he continues to grow and develop.
RB: Jahiem White Jahiem White 5'9" | 190 lbs | RB William Penn (York) | 2023 State PA 5’9 185; 2023
Jahiem is our second-ranked running back in his class and has been on our radar for quite some time. He shows quickness and speed. He has good vision and stays low through the hole. Has a really smooth jump cut. In 7 games last season he ran for 1,332 yards and 17 touchdowns. He also really showed off his ball skills at a 7-on-7 camp. Can’t wait to see what he does this season. William Penn will go as far as Jahiem and Sam take them.
OL: Joden Nelson 6’4 280; 2022
Joden has good size. He has a strong punch. He plays high but is physical who is a finisher and drives feet on contact. Does struggle a little against bigger defensive lineman. He is being recruited by a couple of FBS schools, but I think he’ll end up an FCS player.
