Continue ReadingLast week we revealed our top five 2024 recruits, led by WR Keylen Adams and two-way star Asaad Brown, now, we will be giving you the rest of the top, along with a few other guys to watch in the future as we move closer to the 2021 season.
6. Jaden Ratliff, DB, Norcom (Portsmouth)
Ratliff was one of the bright spots for a Norcom squad that struggled a little bit during the spring season, Jaden, along with his brother, 2022 recruits JaRon, made some big plays for the Greyhounds as he led them in passing yards, tackles, and passing touchdowns. Jaden recently had a good showing at the Under Armour All-American camp in Baltimore and was one of the select 2024 recruits to show up and show out.
Ratliff has the size at 6’0″ and 175lbs to be a star and his speed and coverage abilities were on display, both of which look very good and will attract colleges to him. In fact, Ratliff already has his first offer from Maryland.
7. Isaiah King, ATH, Varina (Richmond)
Speed kills, that’s a true statement and that’s what King has going for him, is some really good speed and the ability to play almost anywhere on the field. King, who is 6’1″ and 225lbs, has a solid body and is versatile, which will help not only his team but also his recruiting efforts. King also has strength, hitting 37 bench press reps at 135lbs recently while training. King, who has a 3.9 GPA played at LB and FB last season.
King doesn’t have any offers yet, key word is “yet”.
8.Tyler Allison, QB, Indian River (Chesapeake)
Allison, who I first saw during the G.A.M.E Academy 7v7 last fall, is going to be a star. A tough first season during the spring season should give way to a better fall season. Allison, who is 6’2″ and 170lbs has room to grow into his body and could probably add 20-25lbs and still be as accurate and keep his athleticism. While Allison’s squad didn’t make the playoffs, he did have a 300+ yard/ 5 TD game during his first taste of high school ball.
Allison could fight for the top QB spot in this class with Ethan Minter who I have ranked at fifth. Allison already has his first offer from Maryland.
9. Ryley McIntosh, WR, Ocean Lakes (Va Beach)
McIntosh is a good prospect at 5’11” and 170lbs. While he played a lot at WR this season, McIntosh is a true athlete and has good speed, and a good frame if he continues to grow. McIntosh will have to adjust to a new head coach this fall but should be able to do it. If the offense runs right, McIntosh should see a lot of targets and chances to make his mark. We already saw a little bit of what McIntosh can do in the shortened spring season but I think the best is yet to come.
McIntosh did pick up his first offers during the spring from Pitt and Maryland.
10. Bailey Oliver, OL, Smithfield
Oliver is a guy I haven’t seen in person but watched his tape recently and was very impressed. Oliver deadlifts 325lbs, squats 315, and stands at 6’3″ and 310lbs, a true mountain on the OL. Size like that is something you can’t teach and he knows how to use it. Oliver is tasked with protecting QB Cade White, who has been under-recruited in the 2022 class.
Oliver’s tape shows an OL who can run block with the best of them. Oliver recently got his first offer from Pitt.
Watch out for:
Daeshawn Nixon, RB Indian River (Chesapeake)
Bryan Resto, QB, Centreville
Zahir Rainer, ATH, Trinity Episcopal (Richmond)
Khalil Moore DB, Benedictine (Richmond)
