Two 2023 TN Linemen Land Offers from Georgia
The final day of April saw the Georgia Bulldogs come into the state of Tennessee and offer two of the top overall in-state recruits for the entire 2023 recruiting class.
The Bulldogs first offer of the day went out to Baylor Sch. (OT/G) Brycen Sanders Brycen Sanders 6'6" | 285 lbs | OL Baylor School | 2023 State TN and then the SEC East program proceeded to extend an offer to FRA (OT/G) Joe Crocker Joe Crocker 6'6" | 310 lbs | OL FRA | 2023 State TN .
Both big men have already been marked as top tier prospects by adding multiple Power Five offers prior to the Bulldogs and so far this offseason during workouts and camps, they have done nothing but continue to grow their stocks as high level recruits.
Sanders (6’5 285 lbs) is a long and versatile guy that could play all five positions across the offensive line. He has strong upside but it’s hard to pinpoint where that potential sits best as the Red Raiders rising junior could excel at both tackle or guard.
The Chattanooga area lineman also sports a nice frame that can take on additional weight along with a flexible, mobile lower body that works well in both the run game and pass blocking.
You can easily see when watching film on Sanders why Georgia and others like Kentucky, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech have offered thus far.
The Bulldogs also jumped into the race for Crocker and this is a massive young man that is still raw and learning but has tremendous upside and has already developed at a high rate this offseason.
Standing 6’7 300 plus pounds, Crocker is a big bodied guy with long arms that sports a strong lower base and heavy, powerful hands. He has the size and traits to remain outside at tackle but could definitely slide inside and dominate at guard.
Crocker is a well trained guy that consistently gets work with his pass pro, so blocking the edge and keeping up with speed rushers is something that will not be foreign to him in the college game.
He will have a tough choice to make eventually as Georgia also joins Kentucky, Ole Miss and Mississippi St. as Power Five schools to offer Crocker and they won’t be the last.
I fully expect to see both Sanders and Crocker add twenty or more big time Division 1 offers before it’s all said and done and possibly become two of the more highly recruited O-linemen not just in the state but the entire country.
The future looks bright for these two rising 2023 linemen and by adding these Georgia offers, it puts Sanders and Crocker on the map as big time recruits to watch and follow going forward.
