For this article, we will list five players in the MHSAA that could be under the radar right now in terms of college recruiting. Having a great 2021 season could boost these players up college’s boards and even help them accumulate more offers. It’s important to note that most players will see big jumps in terms of their ability during their senior season. Player progression is something college recruiters value extremely highly, so seeing a lot of growth from young players season after season will be important in getting noticed by these schools.
Here is a list of some of the most under the radar recruits in Michigan right now:
Cooper Phillips Cooper Phillips 6'4" | 285 lbs | OL Macomb Dakota | 2022 State MIPhillips is a player that Prep Redzone Michigan is very high on. He posses a ton of potential at the offensive line position. He has size and technique that can translate to the next level at a Division One program. He’s willing to get nasty at the line of scrimmage and has long arms that help him maintain leverage against his opponent. Phillips has the weight and strength to move inside, but his best position at the moment is at the tackle spot. Expect Phillips to fly up recruiting rankings as the summer camps start to take place.
Cameron Dyson Cameron Dyson 6'3" | 215 lbs | LB Belleville | 2022 State MI‼️camp schedule‼️

Ferris State 6/3
Central Michigan 6/6
UIndy 6/12
Youngstown State 6/14
Grand Valley State 6/30
Looking forward to finally meeting some coaches in person!
At 6-3, 205-pounds, Dyson is not a player you want to see if you’re an offensive skill player. He is dominant at the point of attack and has the strength to work inside against offensive lineman. Dyson’s strength is his ability to read and react at a quick pace. He currently has three offers from Eastern Michigan, Marshall, and Eastern Kentucky, but expect that to grow as the season progresses.
Bo Poljan Bo Poljan 6'3" | 240 lbs | DL Lansing Catholic | 2022 State MIBlessed to receive an Offer from Eastern Kentucky University♥️#EKU pic.twitter.com/O20ZL0VKY4

Besides having one of the best football names in the 2022 class, Poljan is also a top fifty player in most scouts eyes. He has mauling capabilities up front and has a nasty edge to his game. His size is ideal at 6’3, 250 with more weight to be added on as he develops. His play at the guard position shows solid technique and growth through the season. Poljan currently has offers from schools like Tulane and Eastern Michigan.
Vinny Booth Vinny Booth 6'3" | 190 lbs | QB Harper Woods | 2022 State MIJunior season highlights! https://t.co/2h5UVBNOlR

While he performs well as a playmaker, I think Booth shows a ton of positive traits at the line of scrimmage. It seems like he can control the game and doesn’t get fazed much. Booth has received an offer from Morgan State but should expect more offers as he heads into his senior season. There is a lot of room for growth as he continues to develop his game. The class of 2022 quarterback has room for improvement in his game and the tools are there for him to have a strong year in 2021.
Joey Klunder Joey Klunder 6'4" | 230 lbs | DL Grosse Pointe South | 2022 State MIHad an awesome experience at the @Elite11 regionals in Indy yesterday! Learned a ton from some great coaches! Tested in the 93rd percentile of all athletes! Thanks to @Stumpf_Brian for the opportunity! @CoachRodOden @RisingStars6 @QBHitList pic.twitter.com/xqWeeL8B97

Klunder fits the mold that scouts typically look for in a defensive end. At 6’4, 235 pounds, he has the strength, size, and speed to play at the next level. His ability to contain outside while maintaining his technique is one things that stands out every-time you put the film on. Currently, the Grosse Pointe South defensive end has 10 division one offers and counting. Klunder is another defensive player to monitor as we head into the 2021 season.
