Here are some general observations from some of the games we watched in the afternoon as Dorman won the Air Raid 7on7 tournament today.
- The Cavalier offense was efficient in putting together solid drives like when the running back was able to catch the ball out of the backfield for an easy six points. Coach Dave Gutshall’s squad will be a team to be reckoned with down in the Spartanburg area this fall.
- One of their receivers showed off his agility and quickness in making a play and getting up field as quickly as possible. Another receiver was able to make a catch and run over the middle and get yards after the catch.
- This was our first chance to see Spartanburg QB Raheim Jeter Raheim Jeter 6'3" | 220 lbs | QB Spartanburg | 2023 State SC . It’s very easy to see why he has multiple offers from all over the place. He has a cannon for an arm and throws the ball with great accuracy. He made a nice throw to his left where the receiver was able to high point the ball and make the grab. He looks taller when you watch him in person.
- Dorman’s defense is stingy – we observed one time where the corner sat on the route and read it like a book to make the interception.
