With the rankings currently standing at 50 spots; the plan for the next update will be to add 50 more talented players, pushing the rankings to 100. Here are five players that will kickoff the Class of 2024 Watch List series.
BJ Canady – Topeka High, 6’5”, 235, QB
Canady will be a prospect to watch closely over these next few years. His size alone could gain attention from recruiters, and once he starts to become more confident and comfortable under center, he could potentially see multiple offers come his way. Canady can make quick reads and get the ball to open receivers, and he is good at extending plays. He’ll have this summer to clean up his mechanics and continue to learn the offense.

Christian Hanson – Maize, 5’10”, 195, RB
Hanson put together multiple highlight worthy runs while at the freshmen level this past fall. Once he touches the ball, he is coming with some force. It would sometimes take three defenders to bring him down. Hanson showed he can hit the hole hard, read blocks well, and gain several yards after contact. He could see some varsity snaps come his way this season.

Christopher Mauldin – Seaman, 5’7”, 140, RB
Mauldin unfortunately didn’t get to fully showcase his skills during his freshmen year due to a season-ending injury. For the film he did have, he showed glimpses of his potential. He is a tough runner for his size, and he has some versatility to his game. Mauldin is looking to have a bounce back year as a sophomore, and he’s already taken steps towards this goal. He’s increased his numbers in the weight room, and he performed well at a combine this past spring.

Ryken Carver – Shawnee Heights, 6’1”, 280, OL
Carver is another prospect to watch coming out of the Topeka area. The young man already has collegiate level size, and strength to go along with his frame. While competing at a combine in May, Carver placed Top 5 in the bench press by hitting 225 pounds 16 times. This young lineman will only continue to get stronger, and he could play his way into some varsity time on both sides of the ball.

Ethan Hansen – Bishop Miege, 6’0”, 160, QB
Hansen is an up-and-coming quarterback prospect in this class. He showed flashes of what he could become during his freshmen season. Hansen played at the freshmen level, but he proved he can make some very difficult throws. He is good at avoiding pressure and keeping his eyes down field, and he displays his athleticism in the open field. With Timothy Dorsey Timothy Dorsey 6'0" | 190 lbs | QB Bishop Miege | 2021 State KS graduating, Hansen could compete for the starting job this season.
