Drew Dahl, WR/LB, Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial (2023) | Twitter
Where Dahl caught my eye the most was in 1on1s on the catch. Dahl showed a strong and physical frame to go up and catch the football in traffic. Drew was a definition of a show-them on-the-field guy as his testing numbers were, I would say, in the middle of the pack across the board. At 6’2 200, Dahl was one of the best put together of WRs at the Fairmont Combine.
Dahl needs some solid senior film to make a push to play at the next level. I saw this clip in person; you will see below, which shows Minnesota that Dahl is a football talent with a strong stretch.

Dustin Olson Dustin Olson DL Ottertail Central | 2018 State MN , LB, Fairmont (2022) | Twitter
Olson put in his best work in testing in the broad jump and especially in the pro agility, where he ran a 4.43. Olson came in as an undersized linebacker that I did not find any game film to evaluate. Olson will need to be a workhorse in the weight room this summer to add on at least 10-15 pounds to be a bigger asset at linebacker for the Cardinals.
Landen Meyerdirk, RB/DB, Fairmont (2023)
Meyerdirk is a to-be junior I was not aware of before I got to Fairmont, but one that caught my attention when I saw how much speed he showed in testing. He had to have some of the best testing numbers amongst the Class of 2023 in the 40-yard dash (4.58) and the pro agility (4.44). Meyerdirk can use his upcoming junior season to get some film up as a speedy defensive back that also lines up in the backfield for the Cardinals.
Alec Thompson, OL/DL, Martin County West (2022)
Thompson was a prospect that caught my eye from his strong lower body I saw in individual drills. He showed solid footwork as far as my eyes could see on Monday night in Fairmont. He definitely showed that footwork in his pro agility testing vs. his 40-yard dash.
It looks like Alec has put together a growth spurt since he last updates his Hudl. He looks a lot strong than 5’8 156 pounds, as he checked into Fairmont at 6’0 220 pounds and is a prospect that plays on both sides of the ball. I could not find any tape from Alec on his Hudl as of yet, but I was impressed with his frame in person.
Bryer Prochniak, RB/DB, North Union (IA) (2023) | Twitter
The only prospect that made the quick trip over the border was also one of my MVPs on Monday night was Bryer Prochniak of North Union. When I first watched this kid in the weight room as he did 13 reps at 185 pounds, I had a gut thought this kid was the total package. He ran the fastest pro agility at 4.21 and was in the top three in the 40-yard dash tying with Eli Anderson Eli Anderson 6'0" | 160 lbs | DB Fairmont | 2022 State MN at 4.69. This kid is only a junior to be, might I add.
When I rolled Bryer’s tape from his sophomore season, I see a prospect that starts off getting his balance but then hits the gas and blows up the defensive backs. Bryer checked in and 6’0 on Monday, but man, you need to check his film around the 35-36 second mark to see how really how far this kid can stretch for the football. He does a really sound job of keeping a great balance when he’s pulling in the football, even if he needs to take it to the ground. Watching Bryer on the defensive side of the ball, you see a player that is an attacker. He’s a strong kid, but he’s got a good football IQ and is a player that makes the right tackle instead of the bone-crushing hit that has more risk. Although he is two years away, I am very sure Bryer will be a scholarship football player at the next level.
