One of the schools that has been alive with visitors is Florida Atlantic University.
Head coach Willie Taggart and his staff have been busy, running prospect camps and inviting student/athletes from all over the country.
Last Friday, the Owls, who have limited camps to 100 prospects per session, held three different sessions – attracting some quality talent – 300 strong.
With several athletes headed to Boca Raton to try and turn some heads – and put themselves on the radar screen, performing in front of head coach Taggart and his impressive staff.
THE OWLS MAKING MAJOR MOVES
With new facilities and a very promising outlook, elite football talent has been able to show plenty of interest in a parogram that is certainly on the way up.
Here are five impressive football players that FAU is very much in the mix with:
2024 – Chenellson Exume, OT, 6-2, 290, Miami Edison. While he is only going to be a sophomore, this is the type of talent that you go after early. Size, athletic ability and improving knowledge of the game has helped him reach this level, where major college interest is coming plenty this off-season. Being athletic and picking up more about the game is only enhancing his overall play.

2024 – Dinellson Exume, DL, 6-3, 240, Miami Edison. Like his brother, the interest from colleges is coming from all over the country. Here is a gifted athlete who uses his quickness and skill to pick things up all the time. You can see during his drills and games that his footwork is impressive and the level of talent that he is it now will continue to get better as he matures and learns.

2022 – Donovan Giles Donovan Giles WR Cocoa | 2022 FL , WR, 6-5, 190, Viera. Having watched this impressive pass catcher last year at Cocoa and this off-season back at Viera as he has taken full advantage to increase his game. Has the size, quickness and knowledge of the position. Has emerged as one of the best – and the Owls have watched him extensively during the camp season.

2022 – Devin Johnson Jr., SS/Athlete, 6-0, 190, Orlando Lake Nona. Watching him live during games, at camps and during showcases, here is a true playmaker. Throw into the secondary at your own risk – because this is someone who has the skill, knowledge of the position and the leadership. In addition, his ability to return kicks is another plus for every college who is offering and projecting what this young man will be like into the future.

2023 – Reese Mooney, QB, 6-1, 190, Denham Springs, Texas. The one thing that Coach Taggart and his staff will do is not only pay attention to Florida – where the talent is endless – but also check out football prospects, who have a chance to help the Owls grow and mature. In this Texas product, you have a junior who can make all the throws, and for a player who has two full years left at the high school level, the future looks very bright.
