Breaking down the rankings board for each class, there are always athletes listed somewhere in the middle of the pack, with the potential to climb the list quickly. Have a look at a few of those individuals for 2023 with the full list (Top 65) referenced here. https://prepredzone.com/oregon/rankings/2023-rankings/
Campbell SagerCampbellSager
6'5" | 245 lbs | DL Westview | 2023StateOR
6-5 250 DE Westview- Most aren’t aware of Campbell as of right now, but that will change shortly. The Wildcats are loaded and return a potential top 10 team in the Fall. Nationally ranked athletes and young talent like Sager will fill the roster. Former Oregon St D lineman and 6-6 Head Coach Ryan Atkinson calls him a D1 kid. Look for a breakout season as you can’t teach the size and what he’s able to do up front.
Alisjah TuckerAlisjahTucker
6'0" | 170 lbs | ATH Southridge | 2023StateOR
6-0 170 ATH Southridge- Tucker is a phenomenal overall athlete and someone who probably won’t leave the field for the next two years. As a sophomore he did a little bit of everything, making 17 tackles on D with an INT and 5 pass deflections, in 4 games. Offensively he could play QB, WR and be one of the most dangerous return men in Oregon.
Grafton RobinsonGraftonRobinson
5'10" | 175 lbs | ATH Sheldon | 2023StateOR
5-10 170 RB/DB Sheldon-One of the more exciting players in Oregon for his class, coming from a talented family. Grafton had a nice Sophomore Spring totaling 402 yards and 4 TDs, while averaging 6.2 yards per carry, in just 5 games. The Irish are young and have a legit 2023 perimeter led by the likes of QB B Thomas. You will hear a lot about Robinson in the years to come.
Brayde OwenBraydeOwen
6'1" | 195 lbs | ATH Gladstone | 2023StateOR
6-1 185 DB/ATH Gladstone- What will be an Oregon 4A Player of the Year candidate. Owen can fly and play multiple positions on the field. He earned 1st team all-league DB honors in the Spring, and has the size and speed to jump up the rankings board.
Zach McEwenZachMcEwen
5'10" | 160 lbs | ATH Sheldon | 2023StateOR
5-11 165 WR Sheldon- Look for McEwen to have a breakout Junior campaign and be one of the top overall skill kids state wide for his class. His ability after the catch and when in space is what’s most impressive. With a potential D1 QB like Thomas in place the sky’s the limit next season.
