These are some of the prospects that stood out to me rather it was via testing, during drills or in the 1v1 session. Head Coach Gary Patterson and his staff did a heck of a job running this camp with how organized it was and the types of drills they ran which really allowed you to get a good look at the prospects in attendance.
Kalib Hicks Kalib Hicks 5'10" | 195 lbs | RB Denton Ryan | 2023 State TX – 2023 RB – Denton, TX (Denton Ryan): The moment this guy ran his 40 you knew he was going to be a standout on the day as he clocked in the 4.4s. Hicks looks great physically with a chiseled physique at 5-foot-11 and 195-pounds. Kid is extremely explosive and flashed great quickness going through drills. It’s no surprise TCU offered after the camp that he had and the home run type speed he brings to the table.
#AGTG I’m blessed and honored to receive a offer from Texas Christian University!🐸🟣 #Gofrogs @TCUCoachP @BryanApplewhite @DaveHenigan @CoachDeLaTorre pic.twitter.com/S2981PiuNA

Gerrod Henderson – 2022 DT/DE – Spring, TX (Spring): Henderson was the most talented defensive tackle at the camp and showed it. Measuring in at 6-foot-2 and 257-pounds, he has a powerfully built lower half with long arms and plenty of room to add more weight at the next level in his upper body. Henderson clocked a good 40 at his size with a 4.7, which wasn’t a surprise to me based off what he shows on film. He really stood out during the 1v1 session flashing a really well timed spin move shown below. Like the hand usage he showed as well as he flashed a push pull technique in one rep and knockback power while attacking half the man in another. He’s light on his feet and the athleticism he brings gave interior OL fits.
That man 2022 Spring, TX DL @HendersonGerrod had a good day today as well. Tested well and won the majority of his 1v1 reps. Him and TCU OL commit Cade McConnell had some fun battles. (Not vs McConnell here) but see the nicely timed spin move. pic.twitter.com/EUAH3Slj69

Kolt De La Torre Kolt De La Torre 6'2" | 280 lbs | OL Denton Ryan | 2023 State TX – 2023 C – Denton, TX (Denton Ryan): This guy is barrel chested and plays with a mean streak. Standing 6-foot-2 and 285-pounds. He was the man in the middle of the offensive line for the high powered Ryan offense that just won a State Championship. Heard at the camp he was asked to handle some tough defensive tackles last year on an island by himself and more than handled the job throughout the season. Technique wise, De La Torre is polished at this point in his career. Sits well in his stance, is strong as an ox and man does he have some shocking power in his hands. Rag doll type power. He’s one I wanted to see more of and will keep my eye on for sure moving forward.
Didn’t get to see as many reps of him as I wanted but 2023 Denton Ryan C @KoltDeLaTorre should be getting more attention. 6’2”/285. Plays with really good technique and has HEAVY hands! Physical!! @CoachDeLaTorre pic.twitter.com/VJ3ZiwqvAk

Braydon Bailey – 2022 DT/DE – Katy, TX (Paetow):
Bailey, who stands at 6-foot-2 and 250-pounds but looks bigger than that at first glance just moved to Texas recently from Hawaii. From what I saw of him at the camp it looks like Paetow has themselves a guy they can move around on the defensive line. In 1v1s he flashed quick feet and array of rush moves with an arm over which you see below. Also showed a nice hand swipe and hip flip on another rush for an easy W. Body wise, his lower half is thickly built but he has plenty of room to be developed in his upper body. He already holds a couple of offers but don’t be surprised to see his list grow quickly now with him in Texas.
Was intrigued by 2022 Katy, TX (Paetow) DL @BraydonBailey2 today. 6’2”/250. Showed fluid COD ability in drills at his size and flashed during 1v1s as well. Here you see a quick swim move for an easy W. pic.twitter.com/bh08LZMqEz

Ahmon Dozier – 2022 RB/Slot WR – Royce City, TX (Royce City):
Dozier stood out to me early on with the great quickness he displayed in drills. Showed tight, compact, easy change of direction ability. Just look at the smooth lateral agility in these jump cuts below. Standing 5-foot-8 and 165/170-pounds, this kid can go with great feet. Saw him run a wheel route in 1v1s and his acceleration up the sideline was really impressive to watch, left the defender just hoping he didn’t make the catch as he trailed. Know he isn’t the biggest, but in this day and age of college football, Dozier fits the mold of the type of athlete that terrorizes defenses. Keep your eye on him moving forward.
2022 Royce City, TX RB/WR Ahmon Dozier (@champ_dozier) can fly. 5’8”/165. Was explosive in drills like you see in this video with good feet. Could be a heck of a weapon out of the slot and in other facets. pic.twitter.com/PVF5s4YII0
