The event features a 7v7 tournament and a lineman challenge. There is a lot of talent from the state of Georgia that will attend The SHOW. Prep Redzone looks at some of the under-the-radar players from the Peach State who will be in attendance.
Al Geiger/5-11/185/Cornerback/2023/St. Francis
Geiger made 29 total tackles (10 solo), caught two interceptions, and deflected seven passes in the eight games he played in last season. There will be plenty of top-notch wide receivers for him to test his skills against this weekend.
Malachi Townsend/6-4/185/Wide Receiver/2022/Starr’s Mill
Townsend is a big target that should see a lot of targets in the red zone.
Marc Essley II/5-9/150/Wide Receiver/2024/Wheeler
Essley caught the football 24 times for 372 yards (15.5 ypc) and eight touchdowns during the eight games he appeared in last season.
Ryan Stephens/6-1/215/Running Back/2022/Roswell
Stephens carried the football 82 times for 518 yards (6.3 ypc) and eight touchdowns during the 2020 season.
Solomon Locke/6-0/195/Running Back/2022/Christian Heritage
Locke has one of the best resumes of any player on this list. Locke carried the football 100 times for 1,022 yards (10.3) and eight touchdowns in nine games last season. He had two games of 200-plus yards and also caught eight passes for 180 yards and four touchdowns. I’m looking forward to seeing how he looks as a pass-receiver.
Temarcus Elam/6-0/180/Running Back/2023/Lakeside
Elam got some spot carries during his sophomore year. He carried the football 61 times for 249 yards and two touchdowns last season.
Tyler Hughes Tyler Hughes 6'1" | 195 lbs | QB Marietta | 2022 State GA /6-1/200/Quarterack/2022
Hughes is getting some Division I interest. He received an offer from Southern last week. Hughes production on the field is the best out of most quarterbacks coming to the event. He completed 182-out-of-299 passes for 2,703 yards, 28 touchdowns, and eight interceptions in nine games last season. If Hughes can perform at a high level at The SHOW, he’ll be able to put himself on the map. He’s a true dual-threat quarterback. Hughes also carried the football 148 times for 535 yards and eight touchdowns.
Vinnie Canosa/6-2/225/Linebacker/2023/Marietta
Canosa got busy during the 2020 season. He made 55 total tackles (34 solo, 7 TFL) and sacked the quarterback three times in the 11 games he appeared in last season. Canosa will showcase his skills as a pass defender.
Zaquan Bryan/5-9/165/Wide Receiver/2023/Benedictine
Bryan had an impressive sophomore year. Bryan caught 45 passes for 710 yards and five touchdowns during the 2020 season. That’s an impressive 15.8 yards per catch.
