Dakota Patterson Dakota Patterson 6'4" | 205 lbs | WR Boyle County | 2023 KY 6’4” 205 ATH Corbin
Currently Patterson is ranked the number one player in the state for the class of 2023. He has the speed, physicality, and size coaches look for in a skilled athlete. Patterson excels as a receiver who makes big plays running vertical routes, on the jet sweep, or hauling in a crossing route then taking it the distance for a touchdown. Patterson is also a talented safety who displays great range and closing speed along with being a physical tackler.
Cristian Conyer Cristian Conyer 6'1" | 180 lbs | ATH South Warren | 2023 State KY 6’1” 180 ATH Bowling Green South Warren
Conyer is a multi-talented athlete who lines up as a wide receiver on the offensive side of the football and makes life miserable for the opponent. He runs the tunnel screen as good as anybody and pulls away from defensive backs when running the post and takeoff routes. Defensively, Conyer can play anywhere in the secondary where he can play man-to-man or zone coverage with equal success. Conyer is also a dynamic kickoff returner.
TJ Horton TJ Horton 5'10" | 175 lbs | RB Frederick Douglass | 2023 State KY 5’10” 175 DB Lexington Frederick Douglass
Like Patterson and Conyer, Horton plays on both sides of the football, but he is destined to be a cornerback at the next level and has already received D1 offers. Horton is the number one ranked defensive back in the 2023 class and for good reason. He makes pays all over the secondary from high pointing the football to make interceptions to stopping perimeter runs dead in their tracks. Horton is an excellent and reliable openfield tackler as well as a lightening fast blitzer coming from the outside.
Aden Nelson Aden Nelson 6'2" | 185 lbs | ATH Woodford County | 2023 State KY 6’2” 185 DB Woodford County
Nelson has exceptional length as a defensive back and wide receiver. He most likely will play safety at the collegiate level but excels at corner for Woodford County. Nelson has the skills to play press-man or press and bail. He is a sure tackler and has an impressive vertical leap when going up for the football. Nelson is also a valuable special teams’ player by demonstrating the ability to block field goals due to his timing and speed off the edge.
Jayden Newsome Jayden Newsome 5'6" | 165 lbs | RB Shelby Valley | 2023 State KY 5’6” 165 RB Pikeville Shelby Village
Don’t let his size fool you, this guy can play football. Newsome might be tall in stature, but he is big in terms of production. He is a shifty running back who is tough to tackle in space. Newsome displays excellent vision and knows when to accelerate through the line of scrimmage and when to stick with his lead blockers. Powerful in the core, Newsome runs through arm tackles in the openfield.
