QB: Daniel Kaelin, Bellevue West
A strong-armed pocket passer who can uncork the long ball with relative ease. Kaelin is an outstanding thrower on the move who will square his shoulders toward his target before releasing a dart right on the numbers. He shows phenomenal footwork & terrific timing with his wideouts. He has some hidden athleticism that he’ll use to extend plays when the pocket collapses. His wind-up is compact, equipped with a high release point. The elbow doesn’t drop, helping to ensure he can get maximum spin on his ball. Daniel should be the number one overall quarterback in the state of Nebraska when it’s all said and done.
WR: Dae’vonn Hall, Bellevue West
A dynamic weapon who can make you pay with the ball in his hands. Hall shows plenty of build-up speed and phenomenal concentration for tracking the vertical ball. He’s outstanding off tunnel screens and has the vision to see potential cutback lanes. He’s a surehanded kid with exceptional body control to make tough catches in traffic. He plays with great hand placement inside and will fight as a blocker through the whistle. Look for Hall’s offer list to continue to grow as he gets more and more playing time as a sophomore. The fact that he cracked the lineup as a freshman at a school like Bellevue West is a feat in itself.
WR: Brady Brown, Blair
Brown is a true slasher after the catch. Tacklers often bounce right off him as he keeps his feet moving on initial contact. He’s shown the ability to work all three parts of the field and has consistently made tough catches look easy. He’s extremely springy and can go up & climb the ladder to haul in a reception. Brown is a nightmare to tackle in space and is rarely brought down by the first defender. One of his more underrated qualities is his ability to stop and start. If you don’t tackle this kid immediately, he can quickly accelerate and take it to the house.
QB: Bode Soukup, Blair
Bode put together a strong freshman season, totaling 24 touchdowns to just 3 interceptions. He shows a quick release and the ability to throw out of multiple arm slots. His ball placement is consistent, as he will drop it right into the breadbasket. He does a good job selling run on play-action, getting multiple defenders to bite. He’s a strong sprint out thrower and shows no issues slinging the ball off-platform. Bode can quickly set up his feet when under duress and deliver a strike on the intermediate level.
