Athletes from all around the country traveled to attend the camp, ranging from in-coming high school freshmen to pro level specialists. In addition to Coach McCabe’s expertise, the camp provided developmental training from Matt Thompson, Ben Fentress, Jackson Cook, and Hunter Holmes.
There were also two professional punters and place holders in attendance as guest instructors. Richie Leone from the CFL’s Ottawa Redblacks and Johnny Hekker from the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams.
Both Hekker and Leone shared their expert knowledge with a group of punters that included Castle View’s Parker Christensen (2022) and Arapahoe’s Jackson Smith Jackson Smith K Arapahoe | 2023 State CO (2023). The young athletes learned how to elevate their craft while eagerly adhering to the tips and personal stories that the pros had to offer.
The One on One Kicking Camps go beyond uncontested puts or only kicking with sticks. In order for kickers and punters to be successful on the field, the long snappers have to be on point as well. That is where Coach Cook’s specialty comes into play. His ability to develop elite long snappers is what brought Cherry Creek’s Brady Radz (2022), Valor Christian’s Joe Fellner (2022), and Castle View’s Dominic Madonia (2022) to the camp. By implementing live snap and hold training, the athletes are able to develop their skill set that will directly translate to in-game situations.
Coach Thompson, Coach Fentress, and Coach Holmes have invaluable knowledge that they provide specialists with, especially when it comes to place kicking. Former 2023 Broomfield kicking phenom Kaden Lorick Kaden Lorick 5'8" | K Broomfield | 2023 CO (Celina, TX) made the trip back to the box state to continue his training under the instruction of the camp’s coaches. Lorick was one of a few former Colorado standouts who have relocated to a different state, but returned for elite kicking training.
Matthew Kreneta (2023) is a former Grandview Wolf who will be a big-time kicker for Hamilton High School in Arizona, while former Cherry Creek Bruin Stone Springman (2023) will be taking his talents to Florida. Erie’s Caleb Harner Caleb Harner K Erie | 2023 CO , the number-one ranked 2023 kicker in the state, was in attendance along with eight other top-ten kickers in his class. Two-time state champion Boden Page Boden Page 6'3" | 185 lbs | K Cherry Creek | 2023 CO (2022 Cherry Creek) is another top-tier kicker who attended the elite camp.
One on One Kicking Camps are held in various locations throughout the country with more locations being added to the company. Coach McCabe’s training consists of realistic scenarios that apply mental pressure meant to strengthen the game-time composure of the athletes.
One on One Kicking Camps have produced a plethora of collegiate and professional talent, making it the ultimate training program for kickers, punters, place holders, and long snappers.
