Early Monday, Jal offensive lineman Roger Carreon Roger Carreon 6'5" | 305 lbs | OL Jal | 2022 State NM committed to Boise State, hours after completing an official visit to Idaho’s capital.
Carreon, Prep Redzone New Mexico’s No. 1 prospect for the 2022 class, held nine offers, six from FBS schools: Boise State, Oregon State, Air Force, New Mexico, Texas State, UNLV and Army. FCS Illinois State (his 1st offer) and Northern Arizona also offered.
Nebraska showed interest.
Boise State is, of course, one of the nation’s most prominent Group of Five programs.
Later on Monday, 2022 La Cueva linebacker Hunter Haemker committed to New Mexico just under one month from the date the Lobos offered.
Haemker told Prep Redzone New Mexico that FCS schools Northern Arizona and Stephen F. Austin expressed interest while Air Force had been in contact.
Carreon and Haemker are two of three 2022 New Mexico prospects known to have offered by the Lobos. Rio Rancho OL Cayden Romero Cayden Romero 6'5" | 320 lbs | OL Rio Rancho | 2022 State NM is the other.
