(OT/G) Luke Brown Luke Brown 6'6" | 305 lbs | OL Henry Co. | 2023 State TN has had the chance to step foot onto a college campus and see what all the excitement is about when it comes to playing college football and he has seen some big time programs!
Over the past month, Brown has taken visits to Alabama, Clemson, Tennessee and Vanderbilt but it’s a certain visit and an SEC West school that has piqued his interest the most.
“I have enjoyed taking all these visits and meeting coaches. I also like everybody I have visited with and learned about but while nobody leads for me, I would say that Auburn stands out the most right now,” said Brown.
The Tigers under a new direction by head coach Bryan Harsin, has continued to recruit high level prospects down to “The Plains” and they envision Brown as one of those guys.
The Patriots rising junior lineman holds double digit offers and several high quality one’s at that but so far through the process, he see’s Auburn as a place that fits not only his talents but a place that reminds him home.
“I really felt comfortable with my time at Auburn. The campus, facilities and coaches were awesome but the town of Auburn reminds me of my home here in Henry County. It is a small town with a big feel when it comes to their athletics and that’s something that appeals to me,” he said.
While Auburn may stick out to the Patriots stud offensive lineman, Brown remains wide open in his recruiting process with everyone who has offered and who has not, still in the mix.
Brown has been a busy guy this summer, almost on a non-stop basis which continued this past weekend camping with the Alabama Crimson Tide.
He is currently taking a break from the road to rest up and let his body recoup but he could hit the road one more time to check a few more schools before Patriots team practice cranks up.
“I’m not too sure right now what I am doing but I might see a few more schools before I shut things down for the summer. If I do hit the road, I’m looking into visiting Georgia, Kentucky and Virginia Tech. Everything is fluid right now but I’m looking at a few places.”
At this point in the summer schedule, Brown has probably done and shown enough to earn a good rest period before everything gets started at Henry County next month.
Brown has positioned himself as a highly recruit-able guy that right now may think strongly about Auburn but this Middle Tennessee prospect is close to becoming a national recruit, so his process is far from a finished product.
