There are plenty of wide receivers and tight ends with potential of becoming assets to collegiate programs, all of whom are eagerly waiting for their opportunities. Below is a list of receiving threats to be on the lookout for this fall.
Evan Johnson Evan Johnson 6'0" | 160 lbs | WR Grandview | 2022 State CO | Grandview | 5’11”, 165lbs | 2022 WR
Johnson is an absolute speed demon who clocked a 4.38 40-yard dash. The track star is a burner of a wide receiver who typically lines up in the slot position. He has an elite ability to create space and track the ball in the air. Johnson is an electrifying player who is poised to have a phenomenal senior season.
Peter Braun Peter Braun 6'3" | 215 lbs | DL Littleton | 2022 State CO | Littleton | 6’2”, 210lbs | 2022 TE
Braun is an athletic player with sleeper potential, especially when lined up at the tight end position. He has good hands and his size makes him a tough ball carrier to bring down. Defensively, Braun can line up as a defensive tackle or an end, using his strength and athleticism to disrupt plays in the backfield.
Cooper Pollard Cooper Pollard 5'10" | 160 lbs | WR Cherry Creek | 2023 State CO | Cherry Creek | 5’10”, 160lbs | 2023 WR
Pollard is a player who has been biding his time while elevating his craft. He is a shifty receiver with explosive releases and sharp route-running. His ability to accelerate out of his breaks is elite, making him a desirable target. Pollard will be an invaluable addition to an extremely dangerous Bruins receiving core.
Jesiah Stevens-Silva Jesiah Stevens-Silva 6'3" | 205 lbs | TE Fountain-Fort Carson | 2023 State CO | Fountain-Fort Carson | 6’2”, 200lbs | 2023 TE
Stevens-Silva is a top-notch tight end with an incredibly high ceiling. He is a versatile player who is just as dominant as a run blocker as he is a pass catcher. For a player his size, he can carve out routes as well as any wide receiver. Stevens-Silva has started to turn the heads of a few Division I programs, making him a top-tier stock-riser.
Jake Krekeler Jake Krekeler 5'10" | 195 lbs | WR Argyle | 2024 TX | Valor Christian | 5’10”, 175lbs | 2024 WR
Krekeler is a player who is on track of becoming one of the top receivers in his class. He has been putting in the work needed to develop his skills by competing against some of the top athletes in the state this offseason. Krekeler is a solid route runner with strong hands, making him a player with a stock that definitely worth investing in.
Mason Cowgill Mason Cowgill 6'4" | 225 lbs | TE Erie | 2024 State CO | Erie | 6’4”, 200lbs | 2024 TE
Cowgill is the ideal tight end target because of his size, strength, and ability to high point his catches. His ability to run by defenders comes from the length of his strides that allow him to cover ground just as well as any speedy wide receiver. Cowgill is a young player with serious potential who is worth keeping an eye out for, especially for programs looking for big-body tight ends.
