CJ Barney CJ Barney 5'11" | 215 lbs | DL Madison Central | 2022 State MS | 2022 DL
The Madison Central product stands at 6’0″ 220 and currently plays at the end position. Barney is a super intriguing prospect as a pass rusher. He has a variety of moves that allow him to absolutely get after the quarterback. Of those moves, his bull rush pops the most. Barney is a naturally strong kid who can push back guards and tackles into quarterbacks with ease. With his size and athleticism, it wouldn’t surprise me if he continued adding weight and moved inside, or took his hand out of the dirt and played outside linebacker. Barney currently lists an offer from Hinds, and an academic scholarship from Belhaven.
George Ballou George Ballou 6'1" | 255 lbs | OL Lamar School | 2024 State MS | 2024 OL
Starting every game last year for Lamar High, George Ballou George Ballou 6'1" | 255 lbs | OL Lamar School | 2024 State MS made quite a name for himself last season. The young offensive lineman has grown to 6’2″ 260 since then and looks ready to roll for a big time sophomore season. Last season, Ballou didn’t play with the normal nerves freshmen have. This guy absolutely gets after it. He bends well in his stance and fires off the ball when the ball is snapped. When Ballou gets his hands on the defender, he typically ends up putting them in the dirt. In pass pro, he shows the foot quickness to take on speed rushers and linebackers on the blitz. Really intriguing prospect to keep an eye on this year.
Aquarius Winston | 2022 DB
Recently receiving his first D1 offer from Southeast Missouri State, Winston has been an offseason riser in recruiting circles. The Southaven safety is listed at 6’2″ 185 and has the length to be a really good defensive back at the next level. Although he lines up more as a free or nickel, Winston is one of the best tacklers on his team. This is a guy that can cover a tremendous amount of ground quickly and bring down any ball carrier in the way. A two way player, Winston also has really good ball skills. Love how physical he is in the box. Watch for him to continue adding offers soon.
Jerrian King | 2023 DB
A two sport athlete in both basketball and football, King has been having quite the offseason for himself. At camps and in 7v7s, he has looked extremely fluid in his transition and breaks on the ball well. The Saint Joseph’s product has the tape to back it up too. This is your prototypical long defensive back with great ball skills. King is efficient at playing both man and zone coverage, and he also loves contact. His production in the air is hard to find as well. King can turn his head and find the ball, usually coming down with a big time clutch interception for his team. Guys like this usually have high ceilings. Only a matter of time before his first offer comes in.
Cameron Haynes Cameron Haynes 6'0" | 180 lbs | DB Amory | 2023 State MS | 2023 ATH
Out of Amory High, Cameron Haynes Cameron Haynes 6'0" | 180 lbs | DB Amory | 2023 State MS is another talented member of an already really good wide receiving group. In addition, he also plays defensive back. Haynes has good size at 5’11″ 175 and great speed in the open field. He is deadly after the catch and can make opposing players miss with a quick step. Haynes is the type of receiver, and defensive back, that high points the ball well and can pluck it out of the air. As a defensive back, he is physical and plays press man efficiently. Really liked his last year of tape and will be watching him closely this season.
Keep sending your tape in! More evals coming soon!
