Make sure to go and check out the other 20 seniors in this list as they all are going to be targets for scholarship schools. Today’s group of athletes is an insanely stacked group. Northern Wisconsin knows how to grow and develop some eye popping football players. Just in these 10 players we have my personal #1 player in the state, my #1 RB in the state, and several athletes with FBS offers/commitments. So without further delay, let’s get into the Top 10 of the 30 best seniors north of HWY10!
10. Noah Feddersen Noah Feddersen 6'9" | 225 lbs | TE Menomonie | 2022 State WI , 6’9″ 225 lbs TE- Menomonie
We start today’s list with one of the leading candidates for the largest catch radius in the state of Wisconsin. The 6’9″ basketball and football playmaker has all the length in the world, and he knows how to use it. Inside the redzone Noah becomes one of the most dominant players in the state. The basketball background shines through as he either boxes out defenders or goes up over the top of them to haul in passes with strong hands. The hand eye coordination and overall body control are impressive at this point in his development. Even in traffic, Noah does an excellent job of catching the ball with his hands out and away from his body leading to defenders having no chance of breaking up the catch. With that powerful frame Noah is also able to generate consistent separation for his QB. Even when he is covered he is still open a foot over his head because he can play at levels that most defenders can’t get to. No doubt Noah is the best TE in northern Wisconsin, and one of the best in the state. It will be interesting to see what he chooses to do as he has already earned several offers on the gridiron and the hardwood. Minot State, Northern Michigan, and Michigan Tech are among his basketball offers. He currently has a ton of D2 interest for football as well along with an offer from Southwest Minnesota State. 9. Tyler Birn Tyler Birn 6'5" | 235 lbs | DL Appleton East | 2022 State WI , 6’5″ 235 lbs DL/OLB- Appleton East
The spring season finally gave us an up to date look at one of the most well put together DL/OLB prospects in the state of Wisconsin. Tyler’s range and overall athleticism jump off the tape. One snap he is in a two point stance jumping throwing lanes, and then the next snap his hand is in the dirt and he’s getting after the QB or setting the edge against the run. Birn is a player that is going to be a threat on all three downs at the next level. He can pursue RBs from behind in the backfield, set a strong edge on runs his direction, drop into coverage with comfort, and he uses his length and strong hands to get after the QB. His versatility to play out in space or with his hand in the dirt has made him a hot target this spring and summer as he has been earning several offers. Southwest Minnesota State, Augustana, Winona State, Upper Iowa, and Duluth have all come forward with offers thus far. Check out the film. Tyler has game changing impact when he is on the field. 8. Brent Jeske Brent Jeske 6'1" | 210 lbs | ATH Colby | 2022 State WI , 6’1″ 210 lbs ATH- Colby
This is fun tape to watch! Colby’s do it all athlete, Brent Jeske Brent Jeske 6'1" | 210 lbs | ATH Colby | 2022 State WI , is the next player up in our list of the top seniors in northern Wisconsin after passing over, running through, and decleating his opponents week in and week out as a junior. When it comes to the next level, I predict that his future is at LB with the potential of getting some RB consideration too. As an LB, Brent has the range to make plays at the line of scrimmage from sideline to sideline. He can pick through the trash that ILBs have to face as well as avoid blocks with his lateral agility. Jeske can also line up at OLB or DE and drop into coverage just as well as he can rush around the edge. Brent has done so many different things at the high school level that he is still raw, so when he can get with a position coach at the next level I believe his game will take a big step forward. The athletic traits and high motor are all there to work with. The next level sees the potential too as he has earned offers from Duluth, Winona State, Southwest Minnesota State, and Augustana. 7. Evan Tyler Evan Tyler 6'4" | 240 lbs | DL Hudson | 2022 State WI , 6’4″ 230 lbs DL- Hudson
Next up on our way to #1 we go to Hudson High School for their stud DE prospect. The 6’4″ 230 lbs DE has a great build that comes with some special length, and by special I’m talking nearly a 6’8″ wingspan that allows him to create and keep separation from offensive linemen. Evan also has very active hands that he pairs well with multiple pass rush moves to be able to quickly defeat blocks and get after the QB. His ability to accelerate out of his stance and through his pass rush move make it so he can quickly defeat blocks and then his play speed and high motor allow him to pursue the QB anywhere inside or out of the pocket. Lastly, his flexibility to be able to bend around the edge is another way he is able to get after the QB. Evan is one of Wisconsin’s top pass rushers, and he has the ability to be an asset on first and second down as well as he continues to grow and develop even more strength. This impressive package of traits and skills is what has led him to getting several offers from the D1 and D2 levels. So far he holds offers from Bemidji State, Northern State, Morningside, Southwest Minnesota State, and Morehead State. Evan’s Junior Season
6. Max Grand Max Grand 5'9" | 185 lbs | RB Ellsworth | 2022 State WI , 5’9″ 185 lbs RB- Ellsworth
Coming in at #6 is not only RB1 of northern Wisconsin, but RB1 in our Class of 2022. When I scout RBs there are several traits I look for. The natural instincts to run to daylight and always gain positive yards. Running without hesitation, but also patient enough so that blocks can set up. The ability to be a threat out of the backfield as a receiver, and lastly, the ability to maintain balance in traffic. When I watch Max, and I have watched him a ton, I always confidently check off those boxes. Then you add in the physical traits, like his laser verified 4.57 40 time and 4.32 pro agility time and you get an RB that has earned the spot of RB1 for us at Prep Redzone WI. Big time teams have taken notice too. He had a personal workout with the Golden Gophers RB coach and was given a blackshirt at his camp with Nebraska representing a player they knew about and wanted to keep an eye on coming into the camp. So far we haven’t seen a big program make an offer, but I hope it isn’t far away. The only real flaw in Max’s game are size concerns. At some point that has to be overlooked for the talent that is there. I remember hearing stories during past NFL Draft cycles coming out about teams discussing drafting Russell Wilson back in 2012. It got to the point where they had to ask themselves is the only real reason we wouldn’t pick him because of height? The answer to that was yes. Eventually the Seahawks decided to overlook it, and buy into the talent that was there. I can’t wait to see a college program do that with Max. Now I’m not saying Max is equal to Russell Wilson, but I also won’t say college programs are equal to the NFL… I have nothing but confidence that Max will be a successful college RB for a high level program, and a good person off the field. I can’t suggest taking a look at him enough. Max’s Junior Season
Conversation prior to ‘12 draft in @Chiefs draft room (and likely many more)…
COLLEGE DIRECTOR : What DON’T we like about Russell Wilson aside from height?
SCOUT: Nothing
COLLEGE DIRECTOR: I agree
Credit @Seahawks GM John Schneider for being the guy that trusted his eyes.

5. Blake Siebert Blake Siebert 6'4" | 220 lbs | DL Cumberland | 2022 State WI , 6’4″ 220 lbs DL- Cumberland
Our top DE prospect in northern Wisconsin comes to us from Cumberland High School. The blend of power and speed that Siebert plays with on the edge of Cumberland’s defense jumps off the screen. You can see that he plays with more strength and more speed that any other lineman on the field, and it culminates in a very consistent ability to get into the backfield and create mass disruption with TFLs, sacks, and QB pressures that led to turnovers. Because he is so quick around the edge that’s what’s become his go to for getting pressure. He bursts out of his two point stance, runs the loop, and gets to the ball. Blake is never out of control, though. When he sees that he is about to take himself past his target he can stop on a dime and cut back across the lineman’s face and make the play on the QB or RB. Blake also does a good job of staying home and setting the edge against the run game. Blake is getting some teams’ attention with his talent too. He holds one D2 offer from Southwest Minnesota State and an FBS offer from Central Michigan. Blake’s Junior Season
4. Max Rader Max Rader 6'6" | 250 lbs | OL Green Bay Notre Dame | 2022 State WI , 6’6″ 250 lbs OL- Green Bay Notre Dame
What a wild year of development from one of the top players in the Class of 2022 here in Wisconsin. As a sophomore Max was playing TE for Green Bay Notre Dame. Then he kept growing and getting stronger, and now he is sitting at a massive 6’6″ 250 lbs with one year of offensive line play under his belt and a ton of upside and potential ahead of him. Along with the impressive growth, Max also took a huge step forward in body control. He looks like a completely different player as a junior compared to his sophomore film. Max is quick to fire out of his stance in the run game and he destroys defensive linemen with impressive play strength and heavy hands that he does a good job of keeping inside on the defender. You see that TE athleticism is still there too as he can easily get to the second level and hit his target. His ability as a pass protector is equally as impressive as his play in the run game. Rader easily slides laterally and backwards and forward with light feet as he mirrors the opposing pass rusher. I can’t wait to see the type of jump he makes going into year two of playing OL. He has been killing the camp circuit as he landed offers from NDSU, and SDSU after attending their camps. Rader also holds offers from Yale, Eastern Illinois, Eastern Michigan, and Northern Iowa. 3. Wesley King, 6’5″ 270 lbs DL- Appleton North
Up next we have a kid who has seen his stock skyrocket since putting together a dominant performance this past spring. DT/NG Wesley King for Appleton North is a man among boys in the trenches. Despite being a mammoth 6’5″ 270 lbs, Wesley has the get off to quickly get penetration through his gap and create disruption in the backfield. He also has the strength to physical impose his will on offensive linemen. King has shown he can split double teams with his superior size and strength, and then once again make the play in the backfield. Wesley spent all spring setting the tone, and dictating where the line of scrimmage was as he would always be able to reset it into the backfield or QB’s lap. One of my favorite parts of his game is his hand usage and block shedding ability. He can so quickly stand the OL up with a good initial punch and then doesn’t miss a beat as he rips past them to get into the gap and make the tackle. His camp cycle has been great too. He earned an NDSU offer and North Dakota offer after attending their camps. He also has offers from Southwest Minnesota State, Central Michigan, Illinois State, Upper Iowa, and MNSU- Mankato. Wesley’s Junior Season
2. Jayden Montgomery Jayden Montgomery 5'11" | 215 lbs | LB Bay Port | 2022 State WI , 5’11″ 215 lbs- Bay Port
I don’t need to do too much analysis here as Jayden’s recruitment is no longer open. He recently has announced that he is committed to the Iowa Hawkeyes after he earned an offer with his impressive junior season. That junior season highlighted his elite range and closing speed from the ILB position. His read and recognition abilities also jump out on every snap of his highlight tape. He processes what he sees in front of him so quickly, and then has all the play speed needed to put himself in the right place to make the play. The last thing about his game I want to highlight is his play against the run this past spring. I was very impressed with his ability to not only quickly fill running lanes, but also bounce right off or disengage block attempts and continue on his path to the ball. Reports were that Iowa wanted to see how Montgomery developed going into his junior season. I believe showing that ability gave them the belief that he could handle playing at their level of competition. I can’t wait to see what he does at the FBS level. Check out his film here if you want to take a look at some very good LB play. Jayden’s Junior Season
1. Carson Hinzman Carson Hinzman 6'5" | 280 lbs | OL Saint Croix Central | 2022 State WI , 6’4″ 280 lbs OL- St. Croix Central
This might be a little anti-climatic as our #1 senior in northern Wisconsin is also our #1 overall player in our Class of 2022 rankings. He is also one of the best interior offensive linemen in the country. Hinzman is an absolute monster at the guard position. His balance and body control at that size while being 16 years old is so rare. He doesn’t get caught reaching for defenders and when he is engaged he stays perfectly balanced as he drives them far down the field in the run game. His ability to get to the second level and play in space are also top notch. He understands angles and the paths he needs to take to make his block as effective as possible. I also believe that he is the best finisher of his blocks in the state. He is so strong that almost every rep he is burying an LB or DL into the ground. Carson is without a doubt an FBS player. The offer list is a long one so I’ll refrain from listing them all here. If you want to see elite offensive line play check out the film here. Carson’s Junior Season
