I am going to review four talented wide receivers who were not caught up in the whirlwind and have not drawn a lot of attention. The recruiting interest is expected to pick up for these players.
Connor Powe Connor Powe 6'3" | 165 lbs | WR Laney | 2022 State NC , 6’3″, 165, Laney HS. Connor participated at a Duke and ECU camp with solid performances at both camps. He displayed good speed and agility while participating in the drills. The recruiting interest has been slow and should begin to pick up for him.
Isaiah Jacobs Isaiah Jacobs 6'4" | 180 lbs | WR Enloe | 2022 State NC , 6’4″, 180, Enloe HS. Isaiah received an offer from NC A&T University in the Spring. He is a tall wide receiver with a good skill set. The recruiting interest has been slow and should begin to pick up for him.
Darius Kane Darius Kane 6'2" | 170 lbs | WR High Point Christian | 2022 State NC , 6’2″, 170, Eastern Alamance HS. Darius put up big numbers in receiving yards during the 2019 season. He had good stats during the Spring Season. Darius has offers from UNC-Charlotte, Army, and Coastal Carolina. The recruiting interest has slowed for him and is expected to gain momentum.
William Hawkins IV William Hawkins IV 6'4" | 205 lbs | WR Heritage | 2023 SC , 6’4″, 205, Heritage HS. William participated in the Wake Forest University Camp and had a solid performance. He had an impressive performance while participating at the University of Kentucky Camp, displaying speed, agility, and great pass-catching skills, drawing attention of the coaches. William’s most impressive performance was on display during the HS 7on7 Team Camp at NC State University. William caught eight TD’s in four games while leading Heritage HS to win the championship. William continued his stellar performance at the East Carolina University HS 7on7 Team Camp where Heritage HS finished as the runner-up. William currently has offers from Florida International University and Western Carolina University. The recruiting interest has been slow and is expected to pick up quickly based on his camp performances.
