6A OFFENSE
1. Cole Prusia Cole Prusia 6'3" | 190 lbs | DB Tualatin | 2022 State OR 6-3 200 WR/DB 22’ Tualatin- The returning Co-Offensive POY for PRZ was absolutely dominant last year on both sides of the football, accounting for 11 TDs and 670 yards receiving in 6 games. Credit to OSU for getting on him early as he could very well play defense in the PAC 12 as well. He will require a consistent double team all year if you want to keep him contained, helping to off-set #s for the T-Wolves.
2. Ryan Oliver Ryan Oliver 6'3" | 195 lbs | QB Lakeridge | 2023 State OR 6-3 195 QB 23’ Lakeridge- When all is said and done, I think Oliver could be one of the most recruited QB’s in the nation for his class. Separate from the fact that he is young for the grade, the kid is incredibly impressive and will have the Pacers in TRL and state title contention over the next few seasons. Last year’s 12 TDs/2 INTs and 62% completion pct in 5 games, are just glimpse of what’s coming
3. Gabe Olvera Gabe Olvera 5'10" | 180 lbs | RB Lake Oswego | 2022 State OR 5-10 180 RB 22’ Lake Oswego- Olvera went off during the shortened spring season, going for over 200+ in multiple games while averaging 9.5 yards per carry, against the state’s top competition. He is an absolute threat anytime in space and should get 20+ touches a night this fall.
4. Jackson Jones Jackson Jones 6'0" | 190 lbs | QB Tualatin | 2022 State OR 6-0 195 QB 22’ Tualatin – Jones returns as a Unanimous 1st team all-conference TRL QB and someone who’s stock is rising as quickly as anyone in Oregon. His 1,484 yards and 18 passing TDs led the state during the Spring. He is a gamer and someone who will thrive with all of the talent around him.
5. Brian Mannion Brian Mannion 6'3" | 180 lbs | QB Mountainside | 2022 State OR 6-2 185 QB 22’ Mountainside- From a recruitment standpoint Mannion is hands down the top QB in Oregon for the 2022 class, and someone I would consider a future PAC 12 or Mid Major QB. I think Mannion is special as the last name speaks for itself. If the line can give him some time, he will absolutely torch secondaries
6. Sam Leavitt Sam Leavitt 6'2" | 200 lbs | QB West Linn | 2023 State OR 6-1 190 QB 23’ Westview- The recently offered Florida St QB made the move to Utah last season to play with two of his high-profile teammates ( Darrius Clemons Darrius Clemons 6'3" | 195 lbs | WR Westview | 2022 State OR , Aaron Jones Aaron Jones 5'10" | 175 lbs | ATH Westview | 2022 State OR ). All three will be back to play for maybe the fastest rising team in the state out of the Metro League. Leavitt will have a plethora of athletes to throw to as he should be dominate statistically.
7. Keenan Speer-Johnson Keenan Speer-Johnson 6'3" | 180 lbs | WR Tigard | 2022 State OR 6-3 195 WR 22’ Mountainside- Look for KSJ to go off next season after making the move to Mountainside. Head coach John Mannion is a phenomenal play caller, with his son Brian ranked the state’s top QB. This lethal combo sets up Johnson to be a 10+ catch, 2 TD a night WR. Potentially shattering records.
8. Joey Olsen Joey Olsen 6'6" | 220 lbs | TE Lakeridge | 2024 State OR 6-5 200 WR 24’ Lakeridge- Usually a Sophomore would never be mentioned if we are talking player of the year, but Olsen might be the exception to the rule. QB Oliver is the real deal, and Baylor Corbin Baylor Corbin 6'2" | 175 lbs | ATH Lakeridge | 2023 State OR is too good to double team Olsen all the time, so look for him to exploit secondaries with his talent and size.
6A DEFENSE
1. Kaden Ludwick Kaden Ludwick 6'5" | 245 lbs | DL Clackamas | 2022 State OR 6-5 245 DE 22’ Clackamas- A lot of credit to Colorado for getting on Ludwick early. I for see him being a three-year starter in the PAC 12 and someone who is an absolute problem for opponent’s next season. Expect him to be the most dominant player on the defensive side of the ball in Oregon.
2. Cole Prusia Cole Prusia 6'3" | 190 lbs | DB Tualatin | 2022 State OR 6-3 200 DB Tualatin- Anytime you can play CB and earn 1st team honors with his size, you know that you are different. His 3 INTs in the shortened season and constant play making ability is unique. He was one of only two athletes ( Drew Bennett Drew Bennett 6'1" | 190 lbs | DB Westview | 2022 State OR ) state wide to earn 1st team ALL PRZ honors on both sides of the football as an underclassman.
3. Dylan Layne Dylan Layne 6'2" | 200 lbs | DB Lake Oswego | 2022 State OR 6-2 200 Safety 22’ Lake Oswego- Layne earned all-conference accolades as sophomore, and is a super impressive kid recently grabbing his first D1 offer from Eastern Washington. LO will compete for a conference and state title, much to the credit of Layne, who is typically the most intelligent and athletic athlete on the field.
4. Jake Reichle Jake Reichle 6'3" | 185 lbs | DB Lakeridge | 2022 State OR 6-3 190 Safety/WLB 22’ Lakeridge- Reichle is probably the fastest rising athlete in the NW without an offer yet. His stat line in 5 games was ridiculous recording 87 total tackles, with 2 tackles for loss and 2 INTs. Expect him to have a handful of D1 offers before he is done.
5. Earl Ingle Earl Ingle 6'1" | 215 lbs | LB West Linn | 2023 State OR 6-1 195 LB 23’ West Linn- Ingle had an unreal year as a Sophomore, earning unanimous 1st team All TRL accolades, in the state’s toughest conference. His combination of smarts and overall football ability was even more impressive considering it was the first Varsity action of his career.
6. Kellen Hale Kellen Hale 6'5" | 205 lbs | LB Tualatin | 2022 State OR 6-5 205 LB 22’ Tualatin- Hale had an unreal year from his LB spot, earning 1st team all-conference accolades, while moving exceptionally well for a big man. If the T-Wolves make a run and he continues that performance, he could end up with numerous awards and offers.
7. Richie Anderson Richie Anderson 6'4" | 225 lbs | DL Tualatin | 2023 State OR 6-4 220 DE 23’ Tualatin- Speaking of individuals with a stock rising quickly. Anderson has legit size, and had his coming out party this past spring, earning 2nd team all-conference accolades with limited reps. Look for him to be an absolute tear, playing a full season on one of the most talented rosters in the region.
8. Zachery Grisham Zachery Grisham 6'0" | 200 lbs | DB Central Catholic | 2022 State OR 6-0 200 Safety 22’ Central Catholic- Grisham is a leader and continuously up in the mix making plays. Central could be the state’s top ranked team which will help if we are talking player of the year honors and other similar achievements.
