QB: Jack Toscano Jack Toscano 6'2" | 205 lbs | QB Trinity Episcopal School | 2022 State VA , 6’2, 208, Trinity Episcopal
Toscano only played two games his junior season but was outstanding. On tape, he’s shown that he is willing to sit in the pocket and go through his progression, even if it means taking a shot from a blitzer. He’s displayed fantastic touch as an intermediate thrower, often dropping the football right over linebackers in zone coverage. His athleticism is on display when the pocket collapses, and he’s forced to extend with his feet. He’s shown the ability to make defenders miss in the open field and isn’t afraid to lower his shoulder on potential tacklers when the time calls for it. With a full season worth of film, I think Jack will gain his fair share of recruiting attention as a senior, and deservedly so, this kid can flat out play.
OL: Sean Pozniak, 6’8, 300, Tuscarora
A massive tackle prospect with heavy hands and good movement skills. On tape, he shows a lethal punch that he combines with sheer size and strength to dominate at the point of attack. He thrives as a down blocker that uses hand placement and leg drive to overwhelm interior defensive linemen. He works zone double teams well, keeping his head up looking for a linebacker to show up. Right now, he holds one offer from Massachusetts, but look for that to change if he goes out and has a big summer camp season.
RB: Eli Mason Eli Mason 6'2" | 215 lbs | RB Stonebridge | 2022 State VA , 6’1, 215, Stone Bridge
A punishing back with a strong lower half and exceptional body control. Mason’s footwork is nasty, as he will often glide through tackling attempts with elite cutting ability. The first few minutes of his tape is him barreling over defenders, throwing them to the side as they attempt to trip him up. Eli is a true north and south runner that thrives on contact. He consistently runs with a low pad level and has forceful hips that he uses to sink before stopping and starting. He’s got an inkling for finding paydirt when in the redzone and can add value as a pass-catcher out of the backfield. Mason currently holds offers from Davidson and Morgan State.
ATH: Ryan Wozniak, 6’4, 235, Broad Run
I’m not sure if I like Ryan more as a tight end or as a defensive end because he’s been fantastic at both. At defensive end, his motor never stops, and he’s shown the ability to defeat double teams to get to the quarterback. He’s a natural hand fighter who will catch offensive linemen leaning, helping him easily defeat their pass set. At tight end, he’s a softhanded pass-catcher who can make you pay on quick hitters. He’s shown above-average speed after the catch on top of it. He’s reliable as a blocker and can get it done both split out and inline.
