With the high school season kicking off next month after an extremely long and stressful hiatus, these prospects will look to gain and continue getting college interest in the coming months leading into their Senior seasons for their respective schools.
DL: Nehemiah Musika, Valley Christian HS
An anchor on one of the regions best defenses, Musika is extremely athletic for his size and very explosive off the ball with good first step quickness and twitch when on an edge. He shoots his hands quickly while playing with good leverage and getting underneath blockers with inside hand placement causes immediate knockback at the point of attack. He moves well laterally in the short area and can track down ball carriers from behind while a plug in the middle that can two-gap when needed. A very under-recruited kid, he should see colleges come his way as he enters into his last year of high school football.
DB: Michael Artmore Jr., Saint Francis HS
Artmore is one of the more intriguing and under-recruited prospects in the Bay Area. He offers nice length and overall size at the college level and shows good hips in transition and is a natural high pointer/constantly shows good ball skills. He does a good job in transition while playing with disciplined eyes and is a sound tackler in space, taking good angles to ball carriers while not afraid to come up and play physical in the box with nice natural instincts in the run game. He will be a steal for whoever takes a chance on him at the next level and will be a multi-year starter for most schools.
DB: Nico Andrighetto Nico Andrighetto 5'9" | 180 lbs | RB St. Francis | 2022 State CA , Saint Francis HS
Currently holding an offer from Columbia, Andrighetto is a multi-offer caliber kid that has a nice floor at the next level. From his safety position he is athletic enough to cover the entire field, while having excellent open field and closing speed and able to tackle in space against bigger backs. He has nice lateral movement skills through the second and third level while also physical enough to plan press and uses his hands well when jabbing. Possessing a quick trigger and breaking well to ball carriers with a quick play diagnosis, he will be one of the top safeties the Bay Area has to offer this Fall.
DB: Brandon Escarsega, Palo Alto HS
Escarsega is a true safety that is very active in run support and brings good physicality and toughness at the point of attack from the third level. He is a fluid peddler that can break without false steps and brings a good thump upon contact while covering a ton of ground and successfully getting off blocks when needed. He weaves effectively through traffic and has a quick trigger to the box and is not afraid of contact or taking on bigger blockers. Although he does not currently hold any offers, D-III+ schools will come his way in the coming months, as he can without a doubt contribute to a college team.
