Jackson Bowers Jackson Bowers 6'5" | 230 lbs | TE Mountain View | 2023 State AZ , TE, Mountain View
Bowers made the jump to #4 overall in the state 2023 rankings. He’s continued to climb rankings and recruiting boards since picking up his first offer from ASU in February. Since then he has added 11 more to his resume including Colorado, Oregon State, Utah, Michigan State, Washington, and Cal. He’s a great athlete that can run for his size at 6’5” 230 lbs. He’s a mismatch for any DB or LB that lines up 1on1 with him in the slot. He shows good all-around movement skills and body control to be an effective route runner and pass catcher. Natural hands, he does a good job adjusting and catching balls outside his framework while being able to use his body/leverage to box out defenders. He runs hard after the catch and is tough to tackle due to his strength and balance at the contact point. He’s one of the top receiving TE’s nationally in the 2023 class.
James Durand James Durand 6'4" | 280 lbs | OL Basha | 2023 State AZ , OL, Basha
Durand moved from #16 to #8 overall in the 2023 class. At 6’4” 280 lbs. he possesses ideal size and frame for a Power 5 offensive lineman. He has always shown great raw ability with his athleticism, movement, and bend but has continued to develop his technique and fundamentals. He shows good efficiency in his footwork, leverage, and hands in both run blocking and pass protection. He’s strong and physical at the POA and understands how to finish his blocks, often times with the defender on his back. Great ability to fire off the ball and get a push off the LOS. In pass protection, he shows plus reactionary movement and hands to sustain his block. Holds offers from Arizona, Colorado, Iowa State, Utah, and New Mexico and has an extremely high ceiling.
Alex Doost Alex Doost 6'6" | 310 lbs | OL Mountain Ridge | 2023 State AZ , OL, Mountain Ridge
A lot to like about Doost at 6’6” 300 lbs. and colleges are taking notice with offers coming in from Arizona State, Michigan State, and most recently Arizona. He’s a good athlete that shows plus body control, coordination, and mobility for his size. He comes out of his stance hard and with a flat back showing good lateral agility and short area quickness to get to his spot. Natural strength and power is one of his best attributes flashing a strong lower body and hands to finish his blocks. Quick and efficient with his hands he’s able to snap them into position and effectively use them to latch on and sustain. Expect the offers to keep rolling in as he develops and matures.
Ja’Kobi Lane Ja’Kobi Lane 6'5" | 180 lbs | WR Red Mountain | 2023 State AZ , WR, Red Mountain
Holds three offers from in-state schools Arizona State, Arizona, and Northern Arizona but is one of the most under-recruited players in the state. He’s a versatile athlete with exceptional height and length at 6’5” and plenty of room to add weight to his thin frame. He’s a strider with good top end speed and shows he can change hip levels to get in and out of his breaks. Can quickly close space and break cushion with his burst off the ball and length of stride. He’s a natural pass catcher that extends and snatches the ball out of the air. He’s a great vertical/jump ball threat with his ability to time out his jump and attack the ball at the high point. Strong and willing blocker on the outside to spring runners past the second level. His size, talent, and ability warrants more major D1 attention.
Tre Spivey Tre Spivey 6'4" | 185 lbs | WR Hamilton | 2023 State AZ , WR, Hamilton
Impressive all-around receiver with size, athleticism, and speed. He checks a lot of boxes and at 6’4” 185 lbs. with a 78 in. wingspan he possesses the length college programs look for in an outside receiver. He’s a plus athlete with acceleration off the LOS and a strong second gear to stretch the field vertically. Great leaping and tracking ability, he attacks the ball in the air and flashes confident hands catching everything away from his body. Large catch radius using that length to extend. He’s a playmaker after the catch that can make defenders miss in the open field using his start/stop speed and acceleration. He’s a great stalk blocker on the outside that is strong, physical, and aggressive at the POA. New Mexico and NAU were the first to offer but expect his recruiting stock to rise as he’s able to showcase his talent.
