DL: Malik Autry, 6’5″, 260, Opelika
zx
An explosive five-technique with talent and size beyond his years. Autry will get opposing tackles to overset him before sinking his hips and coming back underneath. He shows quick feet off the line and tremendous strength as a bull-rusher. Despite his age, Autry already has multiple counter moves in his back pocket, including a spin, dip & rip, and a compact swim move. Autry explodes off the football with a low pad level and wreaks havoc on opposing double teams. He was dominant this summer on the camp circuit, and look for him to have a breakout freshman season. Based on his size at this age, I project him as a three-technique at the next level.
Offers: Georgia & Georgia Tech
DB: Tre Darden, 5’9″, 150, Berry
A smooth operator at cornerback with a clean pedal and outstanding footwork in press coverage. Darden does an excellent job of staying over the top of vertical concepts and finding the football once it’s in the air. He understands when to get out of his pedal and is rarely caught out of phase. He does an adequate job of leaning receivers towards the sideline, making the throwing lane that much smaller. Darden easily recognizes route tempo and isn’t afraid to break on short-intermediate routes.

DB: Anquon Fegans, 6″, 165, Thompson
I wrote a piece on Oxford’s 2021 squad and somehow left out Mr. Fegans. This young man was more than deserving to be on that list. This is a talented safety prospect with exceptional leaping ability & ball skills. He shows plenty of wiggle as a returner and can provide a spark there when needed. Fegans is an accurate route reader who will break on the quarterback and look to go get the football. He’s a firm tackler in space who will come to balance and efficiently take out the opposing ball carrier’s legs. Fegans is a turnover machine, and look for him to make a big impact at the varsity level.

RB: Anthony Rogers, 5’8″, Brewbaker Tech
An explosive runner through contact with terrific balance. Rogers is an absolute burner who can get to the edge in an instant. He can effortlessly re-direct off initial contact and will stop and start in the blink of an eye. He’s an extremely productive return man, taking multiple punts and kicks back to the house this spring. He’s got a bit of a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde complex to him, as he can get it done as an elusive runner in space but also can pound the rock & get you the tough yards between the tackles.
