The Rogers Heritage War Eagles have not had an easy time of it in the 7-A West over the years. However, the underclassmen are shaping out to be a group of extremely talented football players. With the class of 2025 rapidly rising through the ranks. Over the summer, Sergio Loyola Sergio Loyola 6'0" | 280 lbs | OL Bentonville | 2025 State AR has put in plenty of work on the practice field. He has honed his craft at football performance camps, team camps, and offseason practices. At the Football University Camp in Naples, FL, Loyola performed well and, in the process, picked up some blocking techniques that he can use in 7-A West play. Continuing to improve is a goal that Loyola has set for himself, and he has set the bar high in how he wants to perform.
Every player and team have goals that they would like to accomplish throughout the season. `The goals Loyola has are impressive with wanting to continue to build team chemistry. Getting better as a team every week is a realistic goal that the War Eagles can accomplish. The ultimate long-term goal is a deep playoff run with resulting in a state championship for Rogers Heritage.
Sergio is concentrating on getting quicker. He has performed well at all of the camps that he has attended. The young man is a strong player on the offensive and defensive lines. The determination to continue to get better is going to continue with this young man. Loyola wants to improve not just on the field, but off the field as well.
The War Eagles are going to be a team to watch over the next few seasons. Loyola is doing all the things needed to continue to improve on the field and off the field. Rogers Heritage is in a tough conference; however, iron is going to sharpen iron, and I expect Loyola to continue to play at a high level. Look out for Rogers Heritage improvement is going to be seen this season.
