Of course, nothing is binding at this point, but over a dozen of Ohio’s best have recently went on record as to where they will play their college football. These some of the players that have committed since the first of June.
Alex Afari Alex Afari 6'2" | 205 lbs | DB Lakota West | 2022 State OH 6’2” 205 DB Lakota West Verbal: Kentucky
The state’s number two ranked defensive back by Prep Redzone is headed to the University of Kentucky. Afari’s teammate at Lakota West and the number one ranked defensive back, Jyaire Brown Jyaire Brown 6'0" | 170 lbs | DB Lakota West | 2022 State OH , is committed to Ohio State. Afari has all the tools to be an exceptional player for the Wildcats. He is a tall and put together defensive back with speed and agility. Afari is one of the most physical and aggressive tacklers in space in the 2022 class.
Kaleb Johnson Kaleb Johnson 6'1" | 210 lbs | RB Hamilton | 2022 State OH 6’1” 210 RB Hamilton Verbal: California
Johnson is a powerful runner who can also kick it into another gear in the openfield. Strong in the hips and thighs, defenders who try to bring him down solo, often bounce right off of Johnson. He has excellent vision for a running back and can make quick lateral cuts to find an opening then accelerate north and south. Johnson will take his talents west to play for the University of California.
Ryan Miller Ryan Miller 6'2" | 200 lbs | QB Dublin Jerome | 2021 State OH 6’5” 210 TE Kenston Verbal: Indiana
One of the most versatile players in the state and the number three ranked tight end, is heading to Indiana to play for the Hoosiers. Miller has great hands and is an exceptional route runner. He can align on or off the ball, flexed out or in the backfield, and can be used effectively by being put in motion. Miller is also talented enough to play early for the Hoosiers on special teams.

The Purdue Boilermakers landed a speedy and elusive running back in Kentrell Marks Kentrell Marks 6'1" | 185 lbs | RB Valley Forge | 2022 State OH . He can make a jump-cut and then fly by defenders as if they’re standing still. Marks is tough to bring down in the openfield and strong enough to run through arm tackles without losing speed. Do not be surprised if the Purdue coaching staff uses Kentrell as a punt return specialist due to his athleticism and quickness.
Cameron Collins Cameron Collins 6'4" | 265 lbs | OL St. Xavier | 2022 State OH 6’4” 265 OL Cincinnati St. Xavier Verbal: Air Force
Collins is the sixth ranked offensive lineman in the class of 2022 and the Air Force Academy is estatic that Collins is headed to Colorado Springs. There is no doubt the Air Force staff is impressed with Collins’ foot quickness and agility. He is athletic enough to reach a wide-5 technique and also pick up defenders in space. Few offensive linemen are as effective as Cameron blocking on tunnel and quick screens.

As Cameron Collins Cameron Collins 6'4" | 265 lbs | OL St. Xavier | 2022 State OH heads west to play for Air Force, his teammate heads to the east coast to play for Duke. Brian Parker Brian Parker 6'5" | 285 lbs | OL St. Xavier | 2022 State OH can be a standout offensive lineman for the Blue Devils. Parker is one of the most gifted offensive centers in the state in terms of being both physical and fundamentally sound. He can handle and off set nose guard by locking into his frame with his strong hands then moving him off the line of scrimmage with his leg drive.
