Oregon Athletes Jumping up the Rankings Board
Oregon’s PRZ rankings board will be updated in the next few weeks. Listed below are individuals who will be featured additions and currently have a stock that is rising. Expect to hear a lot about these athletes in the year to come.
Sam Kline Sam Kline 6'2" | 190 lbs | ATH Sheldon | 2024 State OR 6-2 180 WR 24′ Sheldon- What will be one of the top athletes in Oregon for the 2024 class. As a freshman Kline accounted for 562 total yards (140.5 ypg), making 17 catches for 201 yards and a TD, in just 4 games. Outstanding numbers at the Varsity level for a kid still so young.
Timmy Mitchell Jr. 5-11 170 DB/ATH 24′ Central Catholic- Mitchell broke out at the Les Schwab, being the first ever freshman to start at the all-star game. His dual threat status and 100+ yard defensive TD were just a glimpse of the future.
Luke Johnson 6-8 210 QB 22′ Central Catholic- The 6-8 small forward can also play some QB, throwing 15 TDs/9 INTs last season. Johnson impressed with his ability to maneuver with his size. CC is loaded once again and will be a viable state title contender.
Cristian Gonzalez 6-0 170 WR 22′ Beaverton- One of the most underrated in Oregon for the 2022 class. Gonzalez had a phenomenal spring, catching 30 passes for 411 yards and 3 TDs, in just 6 games. Expect Cristian to offset some the attention given to 22′ standout Kyron Albright Kyron Albright 6'1" | 180 lbs | ATH Beaverton | 2022 State OR .
Jackson Flatner 5-10 160 WR 22′ Roosevelt- Flatner quietly had an outstanding season for the Roughriders, catching 5 TD’s during the shortened spring. 2nd year head coach Ryan McCants was an excellent hire, and should have one of the better teams in the PIL this season.
Khoosha Mirarabshahi 6-0 180 WLB 23′ Lincoln- Not a lot of people are aware of Khoosha yet, but the undersized LB had a great year, finishing with 6 sacks and ranking #3 overall at the 6A level in that category. Look to hear a lot more in the near future.
Carter Steeves 6-1 175 QB 22′ Corvallis- One of the better QB’s in Oregon at the 5A level. Steeves hit on 70% of his passes, for 1044 yards and 13 TDs in 6 games, during the spring. If the Spartans make a run, it will be because of his leadership.
Chansse Lee 5-10 195 WR 22′ Mckay- Another very talented athlete who broke out during the shortened spring season, catching 22 passes for 386 yards, and ranking #6 overall state wide at the 5A level. He has the potential to be a 1000+ yard receiver.
Danny Womack 5-9 170 DB 22′ Churchill- Womack is an outstanding overall athlete (baseball), who will project as a potential 1st team all-state kid at the 5A level. His 3 INTs last spring had him tied for #3 overall state wide.
Michael Cale 6-1 170 QB 22′ West Albany- The Bulldogs are traditionally one of the top running teams in the state, but Cale did a nice job of mixing it up last spring, throwing 9 TDs with 0 INTs. His overall athleticism and consistency were notable.
