No. 1 Richard James Jr./6-1/260/DL/St. Joseph’s Prep
James will have time to show what he can do on the varsity level this upcoming season. He was a top performer at the All State Preps lineman camp back in February. That was an impressive feat considering he was only a freshman. He’s constantly working on his craft and has more moves than the typical 2024 prospect at this point in their career. James has offers from Ole Miss, Penn State, Temple, and Texas A&M.
No. 2 Omillio Agard Omillio Agard 5'11" | 160 lbs | DB St. Joseph's Prep | 2024 State PA /5-10/155/DB/St. Joseph’s Prep
There might be only one 2024 prospect in Pennsylvania that has blown up since the offseason like Agard has when it comes to offers (that person is coming up). His cover-skills as a cornerback are so advanced that at least a dozen Power 5 schools have offered him. Agard’s technique, football IQ, quickness, fluidness, and confidence are just a few of the things that already has him among the elite list of prospects in the 2024 class. Florida State, LSU, Maryland, Miami, Penn State, Texas A&M, and Pitt are among the schools that have offered him. Clemson and Ohio State already have a close eye on him.
No. 5 Kenny Woseley Jr./5-11/165/DB/Imhotep Charter
Imhotep Charter is among the best on the country at putting out Division I defensive backs. Woseley is one player next-up for Imhotep Charter. He was one of the top defensive backs at the All State Preps Camp back in February. He’s another young defensive back whose technique is excellent for his age.
No. 6 Alex Erby Alex Erby 6'4" | 210 lbs | QB Steelton-Highspire | 2024 State PA /6-3/205/QB/Steel-High
Erby and his teammates won a state title during his freshman year season last year. I saw him a few times in person during the 2020 season and during a 7v7 a month or so ago. Based on a clip that I saw on Twitter a couple of weeks ago, it looks like Erby will run with the football more this season. I think it was by design that he didn’t run last season so that he didn’t get hurt. I don’t expect to see him run a lot this upcoming season. But, I do think he’ll run more than he did last season. I think his arm has gotten stronger, and he has even more of a mastery of the offense. It’s going to be scary for Steel-High opponents once again this season.
No. 10 David Washington Jr David Washington Jr 6'0" | 185 lbs | WR St. Joseph's Prep | 2024 State PA ./6-0/190/WR/St. Joe’s Prep
Washington has a significant chance of becoming a Top 5 player before his high school career is over. He already has offers from Boston College, Kentucky, Maryland, Penn State, Temple, and West Virginia. His route-running, speed, and skilled hands already have made him one of the top wide receiver prospects on the east coast. He should get a lot of opportunities to showcase his abilities this upcoming season.
No. 11 Tyseer Denmark Tyseer Denmark 5'11" | 180 lbs | WR Imhotep Charter | 2024 State PA /5-11/180/ATH/Roman Catholic
Denmark gets in and out of his breaks with relative ease and quickness. I saw him at the All State Preps Camp back in April and he was the best prospect at the event. Had it not been for poor throws, he would’ve logged plenty of catches during the 1v1 sessions. He showed a lot during the individual position drill period for his route-running, overall quickness, hands, and effort level. His list of 10-plus FBS offers includes Boston College, Maryland, Michigan State, Penn State, Rutgers, Mississippi, and Syracuse. He is an enormous piece to the wave of talent that’s currently at Roman Catholic.
No. 13 Jah’sear Whittington Jah’sear Whittington 6'1" | 240 lbs | LB Imhotep charter | 2024 PA /6-2/230/LB/Imhotep Charter
The most important part of Whittington’s development during the off-season has been his switch from linebacker to defensive end. He did well enough to finish as a top performer at the All State Preps camp. He’s already 6-2, 230, and is probably going to keep getting bigger. Whittington is an agile defensive lineman who will use his quickness off the line to beat offensive linemen. It’s a new position but he should see a lot of time at the varsity level this upcoming season.
No. 26 Jaire Rawlison Jaire Rawlison 5'10" | 180 lbs | DB Bishop McDevitt | 2024 State PA /5-10/170/DB/Bishop McDevitt
Rawlinson doesn’t have any offers yet but he impressed me with this cover skills at both the All State Preps camp and PA Swag 7v7. I watched him make several interceptions at the PA Swag 7v7 against some great competition. He also held his own in 1v1’s at the All State Preps camp. Bishop McDevitt is a school that has its defensive backs play a ton of man-to-man coverage.
