Kellen Hale Kellen Hale 6'5" | 205 lbs | LB Tualatin | 2022 State OR 6-5 210 OLB/TE 22’ Tualatin- Look for Hale to blow up once the season gets underway. He is an unquestioned D1 athlete as you can’t teach the size and overall athleticism. His 1st team all-league accolades defensively speak to his game, but his abilities after the catch on offense even more so.
Brian Mannion Brian Mannion 6'3" | 180 lbs | QB Mountainside | 2022 State OR 6-2 185 QB 22’ Mountainside- Somewhat of a broken record here but the last name and his film speak for itself. The fact that Big Sky’s haven’t offered yet is borderline criminal as he will end up a multi offer FBS QB. He should be considered one of the top quarterbacks on the West Coast for 2022.
Dom Montiel Dom Montiel 6'3" | 185 lbs | QB Marshfield | 2022 State OR 6-3 185 QB 22’ Marshfield- Montiel is my leading candidate for Oregon 4A POY honors after an unreal spring season, where he accounted for 25 TD’s and only 4 INTs in 6 games. His overall demeanor and presence on the field is necessary at QB. He could be a steal for some university, flying somewhat under the radar, while playing small school ball.
Jake Reichle Jake Reichle 6'3" | 185 lbs | DB Lakeridge | 2022 State OR 6-3 190 Safety/WLB 22’ Lakeridge- As referenced Reichle is probably the fastest rising athlete in the NW. He recently traveled to Boise St who has shown a lot of interest, and will end up with multiple D1 offers at some level. Statistically he went off last year accounting for 87 total tackles in 6 games with 2 INTs.
Gunner Yates Gunner Yates 5'11" | 190 lbs | ATH Coquille | 2022 State OR 5-11 190 ATH 22’ Coquille- What will be Oregon’s 2A POY. As most are aware Yates comes from an impressive family with NFL genes. He can play multiple spots on the field, making him an appealing recruit. It’s tough to get recruited playing small school Oregon ball but he is someone I would consider the exception to the rule.
Johnny Miller Johnny Miller 5'10" | 190 lbs | DB Jesuit | 2022 State OR 5-10 185 WLB/SS 22’ Jesuit – From a recruiting standpoint Miller is undersized but someone I think very highly of. If we are talking straight talent, I would consider him one of the best in the Metro League and an individual who will do well collegiately at some level.
Jay Keuter Jay Keuter 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB Beaverton | 2022 State OR 6-2 190 QB 22’ Beaverton- Keuter has a ton of potential as he showed during the shortened spring season. Against #2 Sunset he hit on 25/38 passes for 348 yards and 2 TD’s, in one of his better games. He possesses a good arm with impressive accuracy and is one to watch.
Zack Schlottmann Zack Schlottmann 6'3" | 230 lbs | TE Glencoe | 2022 State OR 6-3 230 TE/DE/K 22’ Glencoe- Schlottmann isn’t necessarily underrated as I have him ranked pretty high (#37) on the top 100. That being said he is probably the state’s top kicker, hitting from 50+ consistently, while also being one of the most versatile on O and D. Universities like options from a positional standpoint and he provides that.
Gavin Knights Gavin Knights 5'9" | 165 lbs | ATH Thurston | 2022 State OR 5-9 165 ATH 22’ Thurston- I could see Knights being a D2/D3 All American. As noted numerous times, he is one of the most impressive kids to watch on film in all of Oregon, and should be considered a leading candidate for Oregon 5A POY honors.
Easton Abbott Easton Abbott 6'3" | 225 lbs | DL North Medford | 2023 State OR 6-3 225 DE 23’ North Medford – Going out on a limb a little bit as there is still a lot yet to be determined, but Abbott looks the part and then some. He is super athletic and impressive coming off the edge and has the potential to be one of Oregon’s breakout performers.
