All six of these athletes have multiple offers and will be huge recruiting victory for the schools that land these talented football players.
Ryan Baer Ryan Baer 6'7" | 320 lbs | OL Eastlake | 2022 State OH 6’7” 320 OL Eastlake
This massive offensive guard plays a little high at times, but he gets excellent movement at the point of attack and absolutely annihilates defenders on the down block. Baer has a huge wingspan which helps him control the opposition in both the run game and in pass protection. Ryan has over 20 offers and don’t be surprised if it doesn’t boil down to a fight between Michigan State and Kentucky.
Gi’Bran Payne Gi’Bran Payne 5'9" | 205 lbs | RB La Salle | 2022 State OH 5’10” 205 RB Cincinnati LaSalle
Payne is one of the top running backs in the Midwest who has the combination of power and elusiveness coaches look for in a great runner. He also has sure hands and can be used as a receiver coming out of the backfield or flexed out as a slot receiver in the empty set. Payne recently announced his final top ten schools of interest, and four of them are in Big Ten; Wisconsin, Penn State, Michigan, and Northwestern.
Xavier Preston Xavier Preston 6'1" | 185 lbs | RB Stow-Munroe Falls | 2022 State OH 6’1” 185 RB Stow-Munroe Falls
It’s easy to see why schools would like to land this gifted runner. Preston has sprinter speed who is a threat to take the football the distance every time he touches the football. He is a slashing running back who slides through small openings at the line of scrimmage or bounces the ball to the perimeter to find daylight. His acceleration in the openfield is exciting to watch as he pulls away from defenders. The University of Cincinnati may be the lead school for Preston right now.
Aamil Wagner Aamil Wagner 6'6" | 250 lbs | OL Wayne | 2022 State OH 6’6” 255 OL Huber Heights Wayne
Wagner is likely to end up an Ohio State Buckeye, but it’s not a done deal. As good as he already is, this tall and athletic offensive tackle has the frame to put on more weight and become an exceptional collegiate offensive lineman. He plays with low pad level and great leverage for such a tall lineman. Wagner is especially impressive as he works his way to the second level picking up linebackers and defensive backs in space.
Rodney Harris Rodney Harris 6'3" | 205 lbs | WR Princeton | 2022 State OH 6’3” 205 WR Cincinnati Princeton
Where this number two ranked wide receiver in Ohio ends up is anybody’s guess at this point despite a few people think he’s leaning to the University of Pittsburgh. This tall and thick receiver is a physical specimen who runs precision routes and has deceiving speed when going deep. He runs the takeoff and skinny post to perfection and has the leaping ability to go up in a crowd to haul in the pass. Harris is a complete receiver by being an outstanding stalk blocker in space.
Mekhi Lynn Mekhi Lynn 6'2" | 185 lbs | QB Princeton | 2022 State OH 6’2” 185 QB Cincinnati Princeton
Lynn is one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the state. He does an exceptional job of moving his offense down the field by throwing precision underneath coverage routes or by using his legs to pick up needed yardage. He has a quick release and can put the ball on target to his receivers as they break out of their routes. Lynn can fit the ball into small windows when throwing intermediate routes but also has the arm strength to go deep when necessary.
