In a very Intense non-conference match up with The Hale County Wildcats and The Sipsey Valley Bears. Sipsey valley played a very tough 3A team in Hale County Wildcats, with the final score being 30-24 in Sipsey Valley favor. This Game has so many highlighted performance by some unexpected players from both teams!
Sipsey Valley
Sipsey Valley started off the game strong defensively, and offensively Sipsey has dominated the first half of the game offensively putting up 30 points in the first half and only holding Hale County to 8 points. The Bears ended up going big for a huge pass from quarterback #10 Ryan Barger for 61yds to #20 Dalton Bailey in the 1st quarter against the wildcats. Sipsey Valley had a huge day with quarterback Ryan Barger and Receiver Dalton Bailey. Ryan Barger numbers was very exceptional with 268 yards in the air with completing 11 of 18 pass attempts and 2 touchdown. Bailey had himself a field day with 9 catches for 259 yards and 2 touchdowns, He was very impressive with his hands and feet going into this game and making a strong statement for himself throughout the game offensively.
Hale County
The score was not what Hale County wanted but they have put up a fight throughout the whole game. Hale county has had a stunning battle in Friday Game starting with #6 Smith Garner who played extremely hard in every aspect on the field for the Wildcats! Garner put a battle offensively with 10 rushing attempts for 55 yards and 1 touchdown and not only statistically he also excelled in blocking for the cats with huge pass blocking picking up blitzing backers throughout the whole game. Garner is a tremendous athlete with high expectations and college potentials, he also conquered the defensive side of the ball with 1 tackle for loss, forced fumble, 1 interception for a touchdown. Garner also had a similar play the last week against Midfield where he intercepted the ball and ran in for a touchdown that was called back unfortunately. Smith Garner is a senior for the wildcats who will be a huge impact for the wildcats this season. I would not be surprised if this stud pick up some offers along the way this season.
