A team loaded with talent on both sides of the ball that returned 13 starters from last year is off to a 5-0 start with an undefeated regular season in sight. Here are some of the senior prospects to watch the rest of the way:
Anthony Ferrelli- ATH
Ferrelli is a leader on both sides of the ball for Carlsbad and one of the most underrated two-way players in San Diego. He’s a standout playmaker at RB/LB with 6 TDs, 40 tackles, 3 sacks, and 4 TFLs through the team’s first five games. He’s explosive with the ball in his hands combining physicality and speed and is effective catching screens out of the backfield. He’s a leading tackler from his LB spot who can diagnose plays and react quickly to the ball. Ferrelli’s recruitment has been quiet so far but his overall talent and skillset should garner interest from college programs over the coming months.

He’s a reliable receiver with soft hands and a big catch radius. He possesses the playmaking ability to turn underneath routes into explosive plays and creates space with crafty route-running. On defense he’s a solid downhill tackler from his FS spot and covers ground well. Davis is another under-recruited player with talent and ability to play at the next level.

Barrett Brennan- LB
Brennan is a versatile force on the Carlsbad front seven making plays at LB and as a stand-up edge player. He’s effective in the run game from both spots with the athleticism to beat blockers to the spot and the strength to fight off blocks at the LOS. He combines technique and instincts as a pass-rusher using his 6’3 220 lb. frame to keep OL from getting into his body and fighting hands. Brennan’s size and versatility present some major upside for this 2022 prospect.
