This week I’m sharing with you my thoughts on Alabama’s Top 5 Most Underrated athletes. Athletes come in many different shapes, sizes, stars, no stars, ranked, and unranked. This week I will share all the above and some, so here’s my thought on this week Alabama Top 5 Underrated Athletes.
1. RB, #22 Edward Olsey, 5’11, 195lbs, Clay-Chalkville High School, Class of 2022
This is by far the most underrated athlete in the State of Alabama Hands down! This class of 2022 running back Has impressed me with every athletic ability that you would want and more than you want in a running back. Osley is a very fast, shifty running back that is super strong and will run over the Great Wall of China when it comes to getting through for a touchdown. This kid reminds me of Derrick Henry former crimson tide running back by the way he performs on the field. Osley does not step off the gas but pushes the peddle beyond the max when he runs the ball. I have seen this kid break tackles, truck someone, and break more tackles and drag a human being to get in for a touchdown. Osley has announced only one offer from in-state FCS team Samford University Bulldogs (AL). Osley is easily a D1 prospect that is bound to blow any day and any minute. Edward Osley is going into week 5 for the cougars with 64 rushes for 520 yards and 8 touchdowns, Osley is averaging 8.1 yards per carry, and trust me he’s pushing that amount on every carry. This kid should be on every coach’s radar throughout the country because he is a true running back.

2. QB, #12 John Colvin John Colvin 6'3" | 175 lbs | QB Mountain Brook | 2023 State AL , 6’3 180lbs, Mountain Brook High School, Class of 2023
John is a junior and is lighting it up on the field every night against his opponents. Colvin completed 33 of 51 passes in the past 4 games for Mountain Brook High School with 644 yards, 11 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. This quarterback has so much to offer and has great timing on his passes all over the field. John has a strong arm that puts the ball in perfect position for each of his receivers, he also has the speed and agility to throw the ball on a run anywhere. John is a quarterback who has developed so many new skills and will continue to shine and develop more skills this season that will land him top offers all over the nation.

3. LB, #1 Malachi Pasteur, 6’1 200lbs, Hale County High School, Class of 2022
Class 3A west Alabama standout Malachi Pasteur has been under the radar for a while now. Pasteur is a great athlete that plays many positions for the Hale county wildcats, his dominance shows even game no matter what he plays. Pasteur is a strong gap filler and tackle maker for the wildcat that can be flexible and mobile all over the field. Pasteurs has recorded one official offer from Army, but this linebacker will soon get other offers from his athletic abilities and drive to be better everyday. Pasteur has a great angle pursuit and the ability too hunt down any opponent in the hole or even outside the hole. I have watch this kid grow and develop from a young man to a beast, I have a feeling that this kid will be playing on Saturday somewhere.

4. OL, #77 Beau Sellers, 6’3 298lbs, Whicksburg High School, Class of 2022
An Offensive lineman that can unleash the beast is this kid right here Beau Sellers. Sellers is one of the most agile and aggressive offensive linemen I have seen throughout this whole process of narrowing down my top 5 underrated players across Alabama. Sellers is such a hardworking lineman who has everything you would want in a lineman such as Size, Hands, leverage, Pass blocking, run blocking, and getting to the second level. Sellers is coming in hot this season with a lot to prove and I can tell you I am along for the ride. Seller is a great fit for any FCS, FBS, DII, or NAIA School out there. Sellers take lots of pride in his work ethic and his academics and it shows on the field and in the classroom. This kid should be on every coach’s radar for the class of 2022 with what he has to offer.

5. DE, #91 Samuel Horton Samuel Horton 6'4" | 240 lbs | DL Gadsden City | 2022 State AL , 6’4 230lbs, Gadsden City High School, Class of 2022
What is better coming off the edge full speed ready to hit? Samuel Horton Samuel Horton 6'4" | 240 lbs | DL Gadsden City | 2022 State AL . This kid is so incredible coming off the edge using all of his speed and hands to get in the backfield. I know this kid is ranked and has offers but people don’t know how underrated this kid is. This kid can destroy an offensive tackle and pursuit to the ball quickly and violently. Samuel is currently committed to Austin Peay University, I have watched Samuel grow from last season to this season and he’s a different athlete than he used to be in a good way. This kid has a rip and spin that will take you for a loop. he applies pressure to every quarterback with his tremendous speed and agility coming off the edge. Samuel is a game changer and I know for a fact that Samuel will dominate for the rest of the season and will be a great player for Austin Peay.
