The Red Devils defeated Enterprise 36-27 in a tough game from both sides. Here are the Red Devils’ top players from week 5.
Caleb Nix Caleb Nix 6'0" | 185 lbs | QB Central-Phenix City | 2022 State AL | 6-0 QB
Nix looked poised in the pocket and gave his receivers time to get open downfield. While he did throw an interception, he finished the game with 194 passing yards and two scored. He also ran the ball eight times for 75 yards and another score.
Jaimel Johnson | 6-1 RB
Johnson showed quick speed and the ability to shift past the Wildcats defense. He ran for 109 yards on 13 carries, but looked really impressive in doing so.
Romello Green Romello Green 5'10" | 170 lbs | RB Central-Phenix City | 2023 State AL | 5-10 RB
Green had 54 yards on just six carries and one touchdown. He is a speedy and powerful back that can run with a lot of power, especially up the middle.
Karmello English | WR
English torched the Enterprise defense as he had eight receptions for 103 yards and a touchdown. The big bodied receiver out worked the Wildcats defensive backs and made plays with every catch.
Marquevious Terry | 6-1 WR
Terry finished the game with six catches for 71 yards and a score. He is great on the edge and can run screen plays well. He also showcased great blocking skills in the running game.
James Smyre | 6-3 LB
Smyre had 12 total tackles, 9 of which were solo. He also had one sack and 2 tackles for loss. The linebacker was a defensive force all game long for Central and he continues to put up outstanding numbers this season.
