Brady Carpenter – Oxford – QB – 5’11″ 180 lbs
Carpenter was absolutely fantastic on Friday. In fact, he was almost perfect. He only had 1 incompletion on the night and it wasn’t even his fault. It was a dropped pass over the middle. He had 225 passing yards and 4 passing touchdowns. In the first half, he had 3 passing touchdowns on 3 straight drives. When he was dialed in, he was making every throw and hitting his receivers in the chest on a regular basis. It was an excellent performance and it’s great to see him take ownership of the team.
Tate Farquhar – Lakeland – QB – 6’0″ 180 lbs
Lakeland found themselves in a shootout and they needed Farquhar to play out of his mind and he did just that. He finished the game with just under 194 passing yards but had rushing touchdowns of 65, 33, 1, and 29-yards. The passing game was effective enough to keep the defense honest but that’s when Tate did his damage. If they crowded the box he was killing them with his arm. They went to a 2 high look and he ran all over them. Lakeland is undefeated and as long as Farquhar plays like this, they are going to be dang near impossible to beat.
Quinn Fracassi Quinn Fracassi 6'1" | 165 lbs | WR South Lyon | 2022 MI – South Lyon – WR/FS – 6’1″ 155 lbs
Quinn did it all on Friday. He scored on offense and special teams. On offense, he was lining up at WR most of the game and was having a ton of success. He scored on an 8-yard touchdown. He later took a kickoff return just under 100-yards for a touchdown. When South Lyon needed it most, they lined him up at RB where he broke a tackle and raced into the endzone from 11 yards out. He scored 3 different ways on Friday and he was a ton of fun to watch.
Caiden Sloan Caiden Sloan 5'11" | 195 lbs | RB Macomb Dakota | 2022 State MI – Macomb Dakota – RB/SS – 5’11″ 200 lbs
There aren’t many backs who can handle a load like the one Sloan gets. On Friday, he carried the ball 41 times. He was running the ball into a box of 7 and 8 defenders but he was still slicing up the defense. He finished the evening with 270 rushing yards and he broke one that could have gotten him over 300-yards but it was called back. He had 2 touchdowns on the night and he helped lead Macomb Dakota to another win.
Alex Yolles – Cranbrook Kingswood – 5’8″ 150 lbs
This game was pinpointed as a game that could be a fireworks show and it did not disappoint. The game went down to the final seconds where Cranbrook-Kingswood snuck away with a 43-41 win at home. Yolles was doing it all for them. He had 11 catches and had 210 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns. He then added another touchdown on the ground from 44-yards out. He was efficient and never once went down by the first defender who got to him. He was lights out and without him, they didn’t stand a chance in that game.
