Jasper Beeler Jasper Beeler 6'0" | 165 lbs | DB North Farmington | 2022 MI – North Farmington – RB – 6’0″ 175 lbs
Beeler is a workhorse back who can do it all. He comes out of the backfield and catches passes, hits the holes, and will put his nose in the line to block when needed. Friday he was all over the field. He scored 5 total touchdowns and had 151 rushing yards. He was busting big run after big run and some of his touchdown runs were from 50, 40, and 26-yards out. He did all of that in 3 quarters because they pulled him to keep him safe. They won big and pitched a shutout.
Jerell Brooks – South Lake – RB/WR/FS – 5’9″ 170 lbs
Brooks was able to dominate the game on Friday. He did it on offense, defense, and special teams. He had 2 receiving touchdowns and accumulated 150 receiving yards. He killed the defense on the ground with a 40-yard touchdown run too. But, he wasn’t done yet. Brooks also returned a punt for a touchdown just for the extra spice. An absolutely fantastic performance and a clinic by Brooks on Friday.
Jordan Ramsey Jordan Ramsey 5'9" | 185 lbs | RB Adlai Stevenson | 2022 State MI – Sterling Heights Stevenson – RB/FS – 5’9″ 205 lbs
If we’re talking about clinics, Ramsey needs to be mentioned. He was averaging 14-yards a carry and finished the night with just under 180 rushing yards. He was able to get into the endzone 3 times and break multiple long touchdown runs. He was efficient and gouging the defenses. His feet were light and he was the fastest player on the field.
Jackson Zeiter – Bishop Foley – RB/CB – 5’9″ 155 lbs
Zeiter was the biggest piece in a win that took some by surprise. The Ventures won 42-20 and Zeiter was able to score 4 different times. He had 226 total scrimmage yards and 115 of them were rushing. He was the quickest player on the field and got the corner just about every time he tried. He even had an interception on defense. A great all-around performance by Zeiter.
Ethan Clark – Clarkston – RB/MLB – 6’1″ 195 lbs
You could argue that we saved the best performance for last. Ethan Clark was a man amongst boys on Friday and had a Derrick Henry-like performance. Clark had a 65-yard run to open the game and hit the endzone on the same drive. The very next drive, he took the first play from scrimmage to the house for a 99-yard touchdown run. He finished the night with 248 rushing yards and 3 total touchdowns. The 99-yard run was something special. He made a few guys miss, ran through another guy, and then outraced everyone to the endzone.
