Today, however, we flip over to the other side of the line and give the defensive linemen the spotlight. Four defensive linemen occupy spots on the Class of 2025 Watch List. So, let us take a look at four student-athletes who show the potential to dominate the line-of-scrimmage and make life miserable for the opposing offense.

Gavin Myers Gavin Myers 5'11" | DL North Posey | 2025 State IN is a defensive tackle who is capable of completely shutting the opposing running game down. Myers, who has become a regular on the varsity squad, has accumulated ten solo tackles, 26 total tackles and three tackles for loss. Myers has come up with one sack so far. He can control the middle of the line. Myers shows that he has an extremely bright future. Michael Thacker Michael Thacker 6'1" | 275 lbs | DL New Palestine | 2025 State IN , 6’0, New Palestine
Michael Thacker Michael Thacker 6'1" | 275 lbs | DL New Palestine | 2025 State IN is an outstanding defensive end for the New Palestine Dragons. In his first couple of varsity appearances, Thacker has contributed nine solo tackles and 14 total tackles. He is a great run defender. He tackles well and he does a great job of getting off blocks. He uses his hands well to disengage the blocker and make the play. Thacker has come up with three tackles for loss this year. Thacker can apply constant pressure and give the team a lot of energy. In a great New Palestine program, Michael Thacker Michael Thacker 6'1" | 275 lbs | DL New Palestine | 2025 State IN can develop into a serious game-wrecker.
Jermaine Smith Jr., 6’0, 280 pounds, North Central
Jermaine Smith Jr. is a hard working defensive tackle, who gives relentless effort. Smith pursues well on outside runs. He does not give up on the play. Smith is a space eater in the middle, making him a force to be reckoned with on run plays. Jermaine Smith Jr. is going to be difficult for offensive linemen to deal with in the years ahead.

Charlie Riddle Charlie Riddle 6'4" | 265 lbs | OL Heritage | 2025 State IN has the potential to be a premiere defensive tackle for the Heritage Patriots. Riddle has come up with three solo tackles on the year. He has been in on four total stops, with two of those being tackles for loss. Riddle has also chipped in one sack for Heritage. Charlie Riddle Charlie Riddle 6'4" | 265 lbs | OL Heritage | 2025 State IN is gaining some valuable experience and he is a player who is in the ascendancy.
