Our three games come from Class B, Class D2, and Class C1. in these towns these games are more and more important to the kids and people of the town. Our first game is our D2 game between the Osmond Tigers and the Riverside Chargers. So far this year the Chargers and Tigers are both undefeated. Our second game is between the Seward Bluejays and the Crete Cardinals. Seward comes into this one undefeated and the Cardinals are 1 and 1. Our final game is between the Sydney Red Raiders and the Cozard Haymakers. Both the Red Raiders and the Haymakers are undefeated. All of these games are high stakes, two undefeated teams will end the week with losses. As the middle of the season draws closer along we will see who will contend for the state championship.
Osmond V.S. Riverside
Osmond and Riverside are undefeated this year making this game have a lot of stakes. Last week the tigers beat Niobrara-Verdigre 48-6 with 176 total yards, most of those yards coming from rushing. Osmond even had a punt block for a touchdown along with two interceptions their Defense lead them to the win. The Chargers came off of a blow out beating Giltner 68-20. Offensive Standouts
Jack Molt RB 5’9″ 160 lbs, Jack was a major part of Riversides offense with some options and some classic smashmouth football. He is fast and can break through tackles. One of his most impressive feats in last week’s game was his punt return for a touchdown. He makes quick decisions and moves that let him move fast and in an open area leading to multiple long rushes and touchdowns.
Defensive Standouts
Bryan Solorzano OLB 5’10″ 165 lbs, Bryan was a big part of the Tiger’s defense having one interception last week. So far this year he has had 13 tackles 7 of which have been solo tackles. Overall he has had 66 total solo tackles and will be a keep part in stopping the rushing attack of the Chargers.
Seward V.S. Crete
The Seward Bluejays come into the game undefeated and the Cardinals come in with a 1-1 record. Last week the Bluejays beat Gross Catholic 35-33. Their offense rolled over Gross with 432 total yards. The Bluejays defense also forced two interceptions one being taken back for a touchdown. The Crete Cardinals are coming off a 24-14 win over the McCook Bison. Crete could not stop running down the field with 298 rushing yards with their option-focused offense.

Offensive Standouts
Issac Kracl RB 5’11″ 160 lbs, Kracl has been dominant this season with rushing he has rushed about 395 yards rushing in just the last two games. Against McCook, Kracl had 176 yards rushing for only 31 carries and 5 touchdowns. Issac is fast and small he can weave out of the defense and rush to the endzone without anyone realizing he has passed the line of scrimmage.
Defensive Standouts
Micah Hackbart CB 5’10″ 150 lbs, Hackbart has played very well recently he stays onto the receivers and watches the ball. Against the Cougars, he intercepted it and took it almost 60 yards for a defensive touchdown. His speed and understanding of the wide receivers will cause him to be a great threat this weekend.
Cozad V.S. Sidney
The Cozad Haymakers come in this week undefeated so do their opponents the Sidney Red Raiders. Last week the Haymakers won 35-0 against Woodriver-Shelton. Cozad racked up 352 yards 193 yards passing and 159 yards rushing. Sidney won against Chase County 8-6 in a tough defensive battle they had 235 total yards 226 of those were on the ground. This game will be decided by offensive explosiveness and how the defenses respond.
Offensive Standouts
Nolan Wetovick Nolan Wetovick 5'10" | 180 lbs | QB Cozad | 2022 State NE QB 5’10″ 185lbs, ranked 144 Overall in Nebraska and is the 18th overall QB. Wetovick is as dual-threat as it comes during his first game this season he had thrown for 118 yards and completed 8 out of 12 passes. He also rushed 23 times for 119 yards in only the first game. He can scramble and get to the outside fast and take it all the way. He is not afraid of scoring with 3 touchdowns in his first game and multiple against Wood River.
Defensive Standouts
Dietrich Lecher ILB 6’3″ 195 lbs, Lecher is a force to be recond with. So far this year he leads the Red Raiders in tackles with 24, 18 of which are assists and 6 are solo tackles. Dietrich can be the key to stopping the unstoppable Haymaker offense. This match-up with Wetovick will make an entertaining football game.
