Bennington’s Defense also was holding the Skyhawks back having 3 sacks and an interception. Bennington Would blow out Skutt 42-7. Our final game was between Bellevue West and Millard South. This game was exciting and crazy. Millard South’s Gage Stegner had 221 yards passing and 187 Rushing Yards. The Patriots totaled 607 yards against a great defense. Bellevue West couldn’t stand a chance losing 42-28.
This week we have small schools and big schools duking it out as we enter district play Up first we have the 3-1 Lincoln Lutheran Warriors V.S. the 3-1 Yutan Chieftains. Our next game is the 4-0 Pierce Bluejays V.S. The 4-0 Boone Central Cardinals. Our final game is the 3-1 Elkhorn South Storm V.S. The 2-2 Papillion La Vista Monarchs. The season is winding down each school will be putting as much effort as possible into the rest of these games.
Lincoln Lutheran V.S. Yutan
There is a classic match-up of similar teams, Lincoln Lutheran has a tough defense only allowing around 200 yards last week against Sutton. The Warriors have a pretty balanced offensive attack using passing and rushing. The Chieftain’s had a great game against Bancroft last week passing for 68 yards and 150 rushing yards. Their defense can hold tight especially with 7 interceptions for 144 interception yards. This game is going to be fun we are seeing the first big challenges to two similarly balanced teams. These close games are the ones that will finish the season and make it even more and more exciting.
