Hewitt-Trussville maintained to stay strong and fight to the very end of the game. Let’s dig into some top players from Hewitt-Trussville week 5 performance.
#3 Omari Kelly Omari Kelly 6'2" | 180 lbs | ATH Hewitt-Trussville | 2022 State AL | WR
Omari Kelly Omari Kelly 6'2" | 180 lbs | ATH Hewitt-Trussville | 2022 State AL is such a great player and he has shown so much of his great athleticism during the game of the week for the huskies. Kelly is like an automatic playmaker when it comes to playing the receiver position and he makes plays using his speed and hands while getting separation from his defenders. Kelly creates opportunities to make a big play by his ball get off-speed and using his eyes to track the ball to make a good and efficient catch for the huskies. Omari Kelly Omari Kelly 6'2" | 180 lbs | ATH Hewitt-Trussville | 2022 State AL put up 12 catches, 108 yards, and 1 touchdown for the huskies leading the teams in receiving yards and points scored.

#30 Riley Riggs | Punter
I think that this kid has shown up and put the team on his back by placing the ball in great spots for the huskies’ defense. Riley Riggs put up 8 punts for 334 yards which is an average of 41.8 yards per punt and also he has landed 3 punts inside the 20 which gave the defense excellent field position.
#1 Justice Finkley Justice Finkley 6'2" | 255 lbs | DL Hewitt-Trussville | 2022 State AL | DL
Defensive lineman Justice Finkley Justice Finkley 6'2" | 255 lbs | DL Hewitt-Trussville | 2022 State AL is a very strong defensive guy who moves very well upfront. Finkley has dominated upfront with 9 Total Tackles, 3 Solo Tackles, 1 Sack, and 1 Tackle for Loss for the huskies. Finley is committed to The University of Texas, and they’re getting themself a monster for the longhorn defensive line unit. Justice uses his hand so viciously and he also incorporates new pass rush moves every week, which is great because offensive linemen don’t know what move he will do next. This is a great defensive lineman for the state of Alabama and Hewitt-Trussville which he has shown over and over again every week.
#92 Tyrell Averhart | DL
What a night for this youngster who totally dominated upfront for the huskies! This kid came out the gate with a lot to prove on the field and he most definitely has shown it. Tyrell has really good size for a sophomore defensive end at 6’2 256lbs and has great leverage on any offensive lineman. Tyrell has shown a lot of quickness off the ball and in his hands throughout the whole game. I really think this kid will develop and grow into a big-time player for the huskies in years to come. Tyrell recorded 2 Tackles, 2 Solo Tackles, and 2 Tackle for losses against an extremely good Thompson Football team. this kid will soon be on everyone’s radar as the season go from week to week. I believe with his performance against Thompson will have him on every high school scouting report for the rest of the season. Tyrell will come in and sneak up on a team and dominate the whole night for the huskies and continue to allow the huskies defense to be dominant up front for the remainder of the year.
